I have a ton of games I never finished, but most of them I bought just because they were cheap.

Now games I planned on finishing.

Ninja Giaden ( I think a better game came out so I switched)

Kotor 2 (I couldn't find the guy I needed to talk to, I don't believe in strategy guides, I was young at the time)

GTA 4 (It got pretty boring)

Prince of Persia, The second one, warrior within I think? (I just don?t know, I liked the game, it played well, good story, I just never finished it? maybe I should go do that now)

Gears of War (about 3-4 levels in, I really didn?t care, sure it?s a well made game, I just didn?t see a need to finish it)

Jak 2 ( I was about nine years old, could NOT beat the last boss, had to get my cousin to do it, never saw a reason to go back)

Pikmin (Didn?t have trouble with the game, I broke the little Game cube disc , never bought a new one)

All I can think of right now.

DooM 3: It gets so boring you don't want to continue.
Final Fantasy 8: CD 4 broked D:
Final Fantasy 9: I guess I just got distracted by other games.
Final Fantasy 12: Lost my memory card and don't want to bother going through again.
Final Fantasy Tactics: Freezes after beating the first super-duper boss.
Children of the Nile: Incredibly boring.
Redneck Rampage: I really don't want to answer this one.
Akimbo: BULLSHITBULLSHITBULLSHITBULLSHITFUCKTHISGAMEBHULLSHIIIT
Quake 4: Same as DooM 3.
Red Alert: Technically I have beaten it, but not without using level codes to skip a level.
Command and Conquer: Same as above.
SWAT 4: Where's the god damn briefcase!?!?
Silent Hunter III/IV: Can you even beat these? I just got really tired of doing annoying patrol missions that require you to take 20 minutes just traveling to your destination.
Simcity (any and all): I don't know why I keep buying these, I really suck at the game.
Life: This game is really hard, and the developer guy, God, never releases and rebalancing patches, only level and war, and dynamic humanity updates. Haven't gotten around to beating it yet.

Call of Duty: World At War and Lost Odyssey. I had too many games at that time and it's been 4 discs is a lot of Lost Odyssey.

Advanced wars: Days of Ruin....final fight is bullshit.
Amen. Though I have beaten it I used a walkthrough that had you doing something completely nonsensical to bug the AI into wasting its cheap mortars. A suicide attack on the Nest is really the only hope.

I'm normally quite good about finishing games I get, so the usual blocker for me is unfair difficulty. As insane as it sounds, one of the games filed under this is Pokemon Stadium, bought long ago at its inception. Even if I felt like firing this old one up again I doubt I'd be able to get through the Viridian Gym, never mind the Elite Four and Rival. Pretty much all of the Master Ball-level cups have at least one trainer who is impossible without a lot of luck... and a few years after giving up on it I found out there's a 'Second Quest' that's even harder!

The big ones for me are:

Bioshock - I bought it pretty right when it came out. I played it twice and never went back. Now it sits on my shelf mournfully looking on as other games get chosen over it. I keep telling myself I'll go back to it someday.

half-life 2 - At least I play it way more than Bioshock. Every few months I pop it in and beat another level or two.

Rockband - GGAHT + expert guitar + slow fingers = a year of fail.

Scarface: The world is yours.

I liked it for a while and then got bored...then...it collected dust.

A lot of people in this thread get either bored way to easily or they buy too many games. :)

I started playing Splinter Cell: Double Agent with loads of hopes for a good stealth/shooter/agent game, and got presented a polished turd. And the worst was that it wasn't even polished! Not that is was just a turd, the game is good and everything is there but it is too rough for a stealth game and frustrating...

I can't possibly list them all, but here's a partial list;

NES:
Rise of the Buri
Base Wars (Never won a pennant)

SNES:
Tetris Attack (My mother actually beat the game, much to my complete shock)
Alien 3
Zombies Ate My Neighbors

N64:
Armorines (Because it's awful)
Zelda: Occarina of Time (because the water temple can go to hell)

PS2
Metal Gear Solid 2 (Also, the first game I got for the system)
Gran Turismo 3 (Do people actually beat this kind of game?)

Xbox
I own about 50 Xbox games, I have beaten them all, thanks to a pair of deployments and having nothing else to do but grind through crap.

Xbox 360
Armored Core: For Answer
Assassin's Creed
Gears of War 2 (I haven't actually even touched the single player)

PS3
Killzone 2 - Just got the game, and the single player didn't really enthrall me. Luckily the multiplayer is much closer to what I was looking for.
