Games you own more than one copy of and why.

So with the Humble Frozenbyte Bundle brought, I now own two copies of Trine and it made me wonder how many of copies you have of a game. Note this is for games you have multiple copies of at the same time not for games you have lost and then brought again.

Other games that I have multiple copies of it Diablo 2 I have 3 of the game and 3 of the expansion, the reason for this is to make sure there are some extra for LAN parties.
Heroes of might and magic I have 3 copies of the 3rd game and 2 of the 4rd game, the reason was that I borrowed a friend my copy of the 3rd and then missed it so must that I brought it again. Then later after I had gotten the 4rd there was a sale on a package with both the 3rd and the 4rd plus all the expansions that I had to get.
PoP have the 2 first on PS2 and a package with all 3 games on the PC.
Hitman 2 on the PS2 and a package with all the games for PC.

I have SF4 and SSF4, they're pretty much the same game. Fighting game developers seem to have an annoying habit of releasing expansions as though they're full sequels.

I also have a few doubles because my brother buys games for his Xbox that I already have for my PS3.

Oblivion for PC and Xbox and 2 copies of FFX - if only because the first was used so much it got scratched to bits.

I used to have 2 copies of Halo 3, I can't remember why. I gave one to my friend eventually.

Two copies of GTA 4 soon to be three. I bought GTA 4 with my PS3 (the reason I got a PS3) then when I lived at the other end of the country (my PS3 was still in the south of the UK) I bought a 360 and picked up GTA 4 again (I also bought Episodes from Liberty City for the 360). Now I want episodes for my PS3 and it appears it is cheaper as part of the complete collection so I will end up with two copies of episodes and three of GTA 4.

I also own two copies of MW and MW2 (see above for geographical reason). MW because it is awesome and MW2 because of the hype. Oh yeah and two copies of W@W. I leant my lesson though (and living in just the one place with both consoles) and bought just the one copy of Black Ops.

2 copies of Baldurs Gate II, one lent from a friend which I've neglected to return after buying my own copy.

2 copies of Oblivion, first one for PC and one for xbox because PC died at some point.

2 copies of Morrowind for xbox, one standard and the other GOTY edition for the expansions...

I did at some point own the original Tomb Raider on PS1, on PC and Nokia's ill-fated Ngage phone.

Fallout 3 - I have the game on it's own for the PC (bought it first), then I bought the GOTY edition for the Xbox 360 as it was cheaper than buying just the DLC for the PC.

Portal - I first played the game on the Orange Box for the Xbox 360, loved it and so bought it on the PC (as Valve games are always better on the PC).

Planter Versus Zombies - I bought it on the PC originally, heard the Xbox version had multiplayer and co-op, bought the game on there then realised the bastards failed to mention that for some idiotic reason, the multiplayer and co-op was local only, so not available online.

Half Life - I have owned on both the PS2 and the PC, but only have the PC version now.

Half Life 2 - I owned it on the original Xbox, and again with the Orange Box, I have neither now though.

Civ 3: I already had the game and then I got it on Steam for 3.99 with all the expansions.

CoD: WaW: I had it on the Wii and then when I moved to Xbox I got it on that, the difference in the graphics was astounding.

I have about 6 copies of Worms Armageddon.
Lost, rebought, found god knows why it's got to so many. Good game I can't live without though, I would have more copies if I hadn't given them to friends so we can play there as well.

Then a few games I got along with others in packs and things. Think I have two of Splinter Cell Chaos Theory, not sure.

I own 2 copies of L4D2, one on Computer to play mods and stuff, one on Xbox to play splitscreen.

and 2 copies of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon, because i bought a copy for the PS2 and my sister bought one for the Wii at the same time, we never bothered to take one back.

I have a copy of Mass Effect 2 for pc and 1 for xbox. I started playing it on the xbox but it felt spazzy so I bought the pc version.

Different formats usually. Let's see... Gunstar Heroes and Actraiser on VC, Ikaruga and Perfect Dark on XBLA, and Kula World and Vagrant Story on PSN. Still got original consoles and games for all those.

Apart from that I've got multiple versions of Soul Calibur II and IV, for the different characters.

EDIT: Actually I love picking the knit that because they are all just differnent 'versions' I claim that they are all essentially the same game.

If we can count Steam gift copies, I have 3 copies of portal, one from the Orange Box and then another 2 from the Portal 2 twin pack.

Also 2 copies of Audiosurf, one I bought because I wanted it and then get it again in the Potato Sack.

World of Warcraft... I ummmm... forgot the password for multiple accounts and... well I bought new discs... 4 times... Don't judge me though, I was young and had no idea what the 'Forgotten Password' function was!

Oh... also at one point I had multiple copies of different Pokemon games... I have no idea why... I had like 3 copies of Ruby, 2 of Fire Red, 2 of Emerald and when 4th Gen came out I had 2 copies of Pearl and 2 copies of Diamond... that one I can explain though, I wanted all the starters so that explains one extra copy and the extras were just in case one broke.

Bought both PS2 and PSP version of Outrun 2006 and Metal Slug Anthology. Just to take the game with me on the go really.
Although the Slug Anthology on the PSP does suffer a bit from loading-from-disc lag but once it's loaded properly, it plays just as well as the PS2 version

Beautiful Katamari. So I can lend one copy to my friends or if one breaks. I love that game so much.
