4 Years ago, i'd be able to unleash the most complicated button-mashing super move on any fighting game you wanted me to, and I'd be able to do it in a second. Now, I can barely pull of a Hadouken without getting confused.

You'll be glad to know that short-term memory has nothing to do with remembering things from 10 years ago, and that your troubled state of mind is probably due to the hormones raging through all sorts of wonderful places of your body.
scary......you just perfectly quoted a teacher of mine, fighting against a classmate.
you are not a teacher....are you?

I used to be a great sniper on Team Fortress 2, so great that the snipers on the enemy would quit because of me...
*sigh*
I miss those days.

Any old NES game. I remember playing Megaman 1-4 with relative ease. Played the demo of Megaman 9 on my PS3 and got my ass rocked... I'm afraid to buy it because it might be frustration inducing.

R-Type is another bastard game.

Mario Kart DS.

I could even rival those freaking japanese who were fast as hell, and I was even able to be an challenge for my friends with ONLY the map to drive! (My upper screen was broken so I had to use the map to navigate.)

Now, after playing Mario Kart Wii I can't even drift anymore..

i got it from a friend having not played it in years and i was shit
i used to be good
Haha, this. I used to play (no word of a lie!) a little korean guy that i went to school with, and he was just SO incredibly awesome at it that i had to up my game to his level to even be able to compete (although i did find that on larger maps, my style would usually wear him down).

At any rate, playing this kid for 3 years of college, my buddy and i had our skills fine tuned to razor-like levels... I knew every hot key and every shortcut key there was, barely used the mouse.

I'm almost afraid of when "Starcraft II" finally drops, because i know my skills will have deteriorated...

I also was aces at "Counter-Strike: Source" and "Star Wars: Battlefront 2" for a while, but since i stopped playing them nightly, i find whenever i go back to them my skills just aren't there anymore..

Star wars battle front 2. I use to be unstoppable in that game untill. I got a ps3 and stop playing it. So I booted it up today for old times sake, and discovered I can't play it to save my life.

COD4...i was god litterally, playing Hardcore and having 30/1 KD ratios, oneshot kills and headshots.
But then, my XBL ran out, i had other stuff to do and my skill dropped down to normal...

Tekken. I used to kick ass at Tekken 5, but now I despise everything about it because I just can't beat it.

Paper Mario. I beat the game as a kid by just spamming the attack button and using no thought whatsoever, but now that I fight strategically by equiping and unequiping badges at key moments in the game, I had a rougher time than ever.

I also can't tap the control stick as fast as I used to be able to.

I could defeat armies five times my size with weaker units than them on the offensive in Total War once upon a time on the hardest difficulty. Now I struggle with armies the same size as mine. Rome Total Realism, by the way, is MUCH tougher than the original.

On the other hand, my skill at Streets Of Rage hasn't diminished in the slightest... I still can't beat very hard...
