Back in the day (i.e about seven years ago, when I was ten), I used to be pretty damn good at Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2 online. Now, well I'm a bit rusty. To be honest I seem to remember doing better in a lot of games online when I was younger. But then, I did have more free time and little else to do except play games, so that's probably why.

Nah, when I get good at a game I don't become crap again. I get worse, but I never go back to square one.

It's halo 3 for me. After the new maps download got corrupted for me, I took a break from it. and played different (better) games. And when I returned to it I just got my ass handed to me and tea bagged a lot

CS:source, used to own with the autosnipers ie:3 headshots a second, now i own with the 5-7 pistol and P90.......
Warcraft 3, dota: used to own, then i took a break for 2 months, suddenly 10 new versions with new people and skills, and i get my ass handed to me.
other then those i find i get better just generally with other games as my reactions and messed up mind just seem to work together better and better.

Multiplayer first person shooters in general. However, that's got a lot to do with just my taste in games changing as I got older. The old twitch games just don't do anything for me anymore.

Any fighting game, particularly Street Fighter and Tekken. I used to know all the throw combinations, aerial juggles, 10+ hit combos, reversals, whatever. Now I don't have the time to learn the newfangled mechanics, so any attempt to "casually" play a fighter just ends with me struggling to stay alive.

Plus, now you're not allowed to like one fighter or another anymore. So you can't use Ken, because 80,000 other people also use him. Thus, you are a noob.

Damn you, online community.

Survival horror games. All of them. My first game of the genre was Resident Evil 2 when I was 8, and for a few years I could beat everything in one go without blinking. Hell, I'd even prefer to play horrorgames whilst home alone, in the middle of the night.

Today, I still think RE games are pretty weak when it comes to being scary. But games like Silent Hill... I can't play for more than 30mins tops, and I have to take a break to calm my nerves. o_O Young me would kick my ass for this.. And not only do I actually get very scared by these games today, I'm not nearly as good at them, as I used to be.
