Just thought I'd ask what games you guys rag on... my most recent happen to be Force Unleashed 2, MineCraft, and Ghost Busters NES

so what games do you rag on regularly?
Blops?
Reach?
...Smash Bros?
...The Wii in General?

Just anything

I want to know your targets in the gaming universe!

EDIT: I feel I should add "SEGA, WoW, EA, and Microsoft" to that list of examples

Eh. None.

I don't like Nintendo at all, but I don't rag on it. I don't go around in every Nintendo-related thread mentioning how much I dislike it and how much I think the other consoles are better.

Because doing will probably unsettle a lot of Nintendo fans out here (like it does with me seeing mountains of CoD hate every CoD-related thread), which I don't want to do.

Lets see...
There are some games I dislike, but I rarely, if ever outwardly hate on them unless asked for my opinion.
I occasionally hate on the PS3 for the luls in my friends circle, but that's about it.

I am of the opinion that openly expressing hate/venom about a topic in a place where it is unwanted will just make others think you are a tool. =3

It takes far too much effort to hate something you don't actually have to spend your money on.
I just don't bother with a game if it doesn't interest me. Simple, really.

I often go on about how shitty GTA IV is because it's really popular and quite a few of my friends like it.

Every Call Of Duty after 3.

It shouldn't bother me at all, seeing as I'll never be playing any of them, but it just really bugs me seeing one of my previously favorite game series pissed on like that.

A series which used to have a touch of realism, substance and most importantly, a very strong single-player campaign. Then came Modern Warfare. A dumbed-down multiplayer focused generic brown shooter for the newer generation of gamers who values pretty graphics over gameplay.

Now I might be biased. The most common argument I hear for MW is that it's "fun". And I don't mind fun in games. In fact, I welcome it. But for some strange reason, just fun isn't enough for me. I also want an experience from the games I play.

Two games, WoW and Gears of War. I really don't get how people enjoy that (well WoW beyond level 40).

I pick on MW2 and Black Ops a lot because they're so god damn awful compared to Call of Duty 4. I guess I'm a little too hard on them. It'd be pretty damn difficult to top CoD4 for me.

I hear you, man. I can't stand GTA IV. I enjoyed San Andreas immensely, but IV sucked the fun out of it for me. I hated the "realistic" car controls that made me crash every time I went over forty mph. I hated the lack of a custom radio station. I hated how the story's first act was one long string of tutorials in disguise. I hated the lack of reliable "taxi missions." Most of all, I hated having to drop everything to go bowling or check out BEEG AMERICAN TEE-TEES with the supporting cast every fifteen minutes.

Thank God Yahtzee directed me to the light that was Saints Row 2.

Games that just don't ever seem to die because people keep buying them.
Final Fantasy
Call of duty
Mario
Halo

I want more games that are new! Sequels can be good but you really should stop after 3. And if your going to make one please do not dumb it down because you want to appeal to a bigger audience! the ruined Mass effect 2 by doing that. But I find more enjoyment out of games that don't try to be the next Halo or Call of duty because both of those games have been done. I used to love Halo but I don't anymore because of what it has does to the FPS genre.

It sounds so strange to "hate" a game. I can understand disliking a game, but how do you come to the point of hating it?

Not possible, me thinks...

I rag on:

MW2, for it's crushing disappointment
Splinter Cell: Conviction, because it felt nothing like Splinter Cell (it was mildy fun)
GTA IV, for almost being amazing.

I didn't hate either Conviction or GTA IV. Conviction was pretty fun, but it felt nothing like SP. The difference was incredibly jarring, and I didn't get that into (I liked the story, though). GTA IV could have incredible had it nor got kind of boring once the campaign was done.

I am not a fan of Halo. I won't actively troll that fact (excluding a recent post :p) but it can be described as a popular target I also shoot at.

Yeah, that takes a whole lot of dedication that I just don't have. I may hate constantly hearing about a game I didn't enjoy, but even that takes a while. The only way I could really hate a game is if I was forced to play it and that's just a silly concept.
