Modern Warfare 2. Five hours later, I was all "Wait, that's the end of the game? But I fucking hate multiplayer! I spent $150NZ on this!?"

Yes, the standard edition was $150NZ. To put that in comparisson, the collectors edition of Halo Reach was 130, the standard 110, GTA4 on release was 120, collectors 140, Brutal Legend was 100. Yeah, MW2 had those spec op things....but FFS, for what I paid for it, I'm glad I was able to con someone on TradeMe (NZ equivalent of eBay) to pay $170 + $10 shipping. Someone obviously thinks it is worth it.

Fallout 3: New Vegas

I was an avid fan of Fallout 1 and 2 on PC, and when I got my PS3 I thought long and hard about getting Fallout 3 or New Vegas (or neither). I eventually decided to get New Vegas because it was the newest release and I didn't feel like playing an outdated game on my shiny new gaming console. If it wasn't for the hardcore mode the game would have been a complete failure to me, but playing it on hardcore made it an acceptable experience.

The Last Remnant - Luck based combat, check. The main character being an annoying waste of space, check (he might get better, i never got that far). Cheating basatrd AI, triple check. I intend to complete it one of these days

DBZ: Burst Limit - really liked the tenkaichi series and was hoping for more of the same. Was very disappointed. A game that only goes up to the Cell saga in this day and age... outrage

Guilty Gear: Overture - I was expecting a new version of Guilty Gear. I was not expecting a so-so Dytasty Warriors like game with somewhat dodgy controls combined with RTS elements that seem way too complicated.

Thems the most obvious ones.

Oh dear god yes. Lets see:

Mercenaries 2
Halo ODST
Fallout new vegas

have thankfully sold most of them.
not DJ hero. it remains as a painful reminder.
Waaaaaaaa? Okay I can see not liking Mercs 2 and ODST. But New Vegas?
Yeah, I can explain that. Or more to the point, I can't. If that makes any sense. I think New Vegas is a good, well built game, I just never found it all that riveting. And that wouldn't make it a disappointment on its own, but I found the same with Fallout 3. Again, good game that I just never got all that invested in. So when I got New Vegas and found that I once again wasn't all that sucked in, I was disappointed.

Orange Box, Except portal it was full of great games that I wanted to like but just weren't for me... Feels bad to watch others have so much fun with it. I got it in a Valve pack on steam though, and Left4Dead 1 more than made up for it. :3

Now I feel a little guilty.
This is the first time I've felt empathy for someone who didn't like HL2 or TF2. Well said sir, well said.

Hellgate London (I got all exited by the AWESOME trailer only to discover the game was liquid crap )
Portal 1 (I bought it for steam, cool game and all that but 3 days later it was FREE to download because of mac people getting steam )

That is all I guess.

Alan Wake: not in the slightest bit scary and the protaginist's inability to sprint for more then 2 seconds is very annoying, as are the weaker Darkness enemies who always manage to get behind you no matter how much light you shine in their hick faces.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops. I won't be buying Modern Warfare 3, anyway..
Frontlines: Fuel of War. I wanted something similar to BF2, but it was just dull and boring.

GRAW2. I remember playing that game when it came out, on Xbox, and thinking it was pretty good. Then last year I bought it cheap. For some reason I couldn't enjoy it nearly as much. It seemed like a completely different game.

*gears up in flame-proof equipment*

I got 2:
Icewind Dale: I think I have an issue with DnD rules in general. How even the platemail-clad paladin can get killed in 1 or 2 hits, how a mage casts 3 spells tops and then needs a full night of sleep to be useful again, how everything in general starts superhard and gets easier later on...
Add to that the horrendous AI and the fact I had to babysit six of these knuckleheads and I just gave up. Had the same issue with KotOR games, but the story kept me going.

GTA San Andreas: Root of the problem here is that I don't get a kick out of random mayhem. Never went on a killing spree in Oblivion etc. Also the whole setting was something a middle-class white girl just doesn't give a toss about. Tried roaming around anyway, quickly found the driving controls painful, then discovered the skill bars. Let me get this straight: in order to get around a bend without knocking over something I have to practice driving for hours? Works in Oblivion, here not so much.

So yes, neither is a bad game per se, I'm just not the target audience.

Garshasp: Monster Slayer.

Honestly the only entertaining part of it is Garshasp's face.

Frontlines: fuel of war - Horrible gameplay and overall uninteresting
lol. I beat that game in 4 hours on normal. Probably would have gone faster, but the controls sucked.

OT: Black Ops. That's all.

Final fantasy 13, it was like watching Final Fantasy Spirits Within 5 times over and high, cause you have no idea whats going on, then your friend (thinking he's funny) Hands you a controller and you pretend to play.

Overall FF13

Excellent, that's about 90% of what the game is good for.

That and rapidly sliding down a crumbling castle wall with a knife.
