It's the reason I started renting games again. The opening tutorial level is a lot of fun and it makes it look like the game will be really cool. Then you finish it and end up in the most boring and tedious sandbox ever made only to occasionally fight an interesting boss after doing the worst minigames to plague the wii: and that's saying something.
Burnout Paradise
If it had brought crash junctions to the next gen I would feel differently. The free dlc couldn't make up for it and the pay for dlc should've been free.
GTA4:
Yes it's probably the best Story in GTA history but that's all the game has going for it. After you're done with the story there really isn't much left to do... that's fun and/or rewarding. GTA3 had a bunch of things that were both fun and rewarding outside of the story missions.
It's too bad GTA and Burnout used to be a couple of my favorite franchises (both reasons I wanted a ps2) but they've really dropped the ball this generation.
