In a way, IWBTG is begging me to hunt it down. Mainly though, Battletoads. Ico is on there too, but it just never looked too appealing to me.

Well looks like you didnt have to do much hunting. I have been playing it for months and I haven't beaten it...I've gotten up to Bowser though.

It's weird- I haven't played many games, but I would say that I played what I _wanted_, more or less.

I still haven't finished Commandos 3 (due to game being hard).
Haven't touched Medieval 2: Total War, and I need to since I'm a huge TW fan.
Must finish Hitman 2 and start up on Hitman 3.
Haven't finished Max Payne 1, and need to start up on MP2.
Never played MDK; always wanted to.
Never played Myst; always wanted to.
Never played Dungeon Keeper fully; always wanted to.
Assaassn's Creed; I played it many times for brief intervals on my friend's PS3. I loved the climbing mechanics and can't wait to order it on Steam. I don't care what everyone says about it being mediocre. I see myself enjoying this game.

---

Other than that, I read somewhere here that HL1 has no plot. Re-play the game; the plot was awesome and absorbing. It accompanied the gameplay perfectly.

---

I haven't played lots of popular games, but I feel no need to play them. I never played any Zelda, Bioshock (though that seems cool), or Final Fantasy game. Will never, EVER play WoW, even though I'm a Blizzard-lover. I will never bother with any MGS game since all of my friends played them all the time and I _hate the goddamn story_.

---

About MGS, Hideo Kojima admitted that he intentionally left plot-holes open and many times wrote the story as he went along. He never took these games very seriously, while every fan seems like they're trying to decode the mysteries of life by taking note of every detail in that God-awful story. It's really sad.

Hmm..

Half Life 2 (have played 1 and all the exp packs)
ICO + Shadow of the Colossus
Psychonauts
Beyond Good and Evil
S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
Pretty much all the last 2 year good PC games (WoW + no money for a decent rig = bad for gaming)

As far as games i need to replay... Freespace 2. Whoever has played it knows why. Whoever hasn't, do yourself a favor, google it, then ebay it or something, then get a joystick if you don't already have one and play it. I don't care if the graphics seem old to you.. just play it and thank me when you're done.

Shenmue for DC
FF6 for SNES/GBA
And all the Resident Evil games except 4.
You should play the PSone version of FF6, its pretty much exactly the same as the SNES version except you get some bonus material like a bestiary. Also I've heard they made some changes in the GBA version that detracted from it.

Ocarina Of Time. I've never payed much attention to the Zelda series, but I picked up Phantom Hourglass cheap, and loved it. A lot of my friends have said OOT is amazing compared to PH, so I want to check it out.

There's a load of old games I need to play, since I didn't really play PC games between 1996-2004, and during most of that period, the only console I had was a N64.

Old games I've bought recently because I need to play them:

Full Throttle: I loved all the old LucasArts adventures, as did my girlfriend. Neither of us had done this one, so I got this for us to do together. Awhhhh.

X-Wing Alliance: Got this yesterday, because I played X-Wing to death when it came out. Had a quick go already, seems like fun, although the graphics hurt my eyes.

Half-Life: Bought it on Steam last week, played through a couple of levels, got killed towards the end of a level, went to load the autosave... Oh, right, that's quite a new thing isn't it. Fiddlesticks. Will return to game once I've calmed down.

Games I need to buy:

Knights of the Old Republic I & II
Final Fantasy VII
Monkey Island III

Can't think of any more at the moment.

Oh, and root_of_all_evil, Starship Command? Nice. Let me know what rank you get up to. If you like BBC space games, did you ever try Cylon Attack? I once fell off my chair trying to dodge a Cylon that was coming right at me. And by coming right at me, I mean gradually getting larger on an old 12" Monochrome TV.
