Civilization 4, possibly my favorite game every if I didn't suck at it. I can't beat the computer on anything higher then the 4th difficulty and even then I'll lose very often to it, but anything below that I just steam roll. And playing it online I get owned with a capital O.

For me, it would be Star Wars Battlefront 2, more specifically the space missions, I just can't beat people at them XD

Any strategy game. I love it when I build a massive base and fight off hordes of enemies as if it were Helm's Deep, anything deeper than that and I fall face first into a bin full of broken glass. I suck at resource management mainly.

I really like real time strategy games and god-sims (like sim-city and black and white) but I completely suck at them. I run out of money and resources and, in the case of Black and White, I get annoyed at my whining followers and waste them all.
That used to be me, but now I'm awesome! The only game I still can't beat is Sim City 4, and I tore up Sim City 3000 until I could afford highways. "Meh", Sim City 4 isn't that great anyway, even the largest maps are minuscule compared to the older games.

Team Fortress 2,although lately I've become somewhat "good"...
I've been playing it for 2 years now, every once in a while.

I can tell you the secret to winning, but it will cost you...

1)Play as the medic.
2)Find a Heavy or convince someone to play as the Heavy.
3) Heal them constantly
4)Help others when you can spare the time
5) Profit, because you can get a massive amount of kill assists this way. When I was done with a round the only guy higher then me was my Heavy.

Even though most of us have been gaming all of our lives, there is at least one game for each person that no matter how hard they try, it kicks their ass. Whether it be the legendary game that will make you cry because it was so hard or the mainstream game that you cannot grasp no matter what.

That game for me is the Orange Box. I LOVED this game but no matter what I did i could not even be decent at Team Fortress OR Half Life 2. I think this is mainly due to my late introduction to gaming. I have grown up with auto aim and recharging health meters. So just jumping into half life 2 was a little difficult and after SEVERAL hours of it, I still felt like I hadn't gotten the hang of things. It wasn't that i died constantly, it was that my ammo was constantly running low. Maybe I am so used to being an unstoppable killing machine that is able to carry around an armory that I thought i was playing the game wrong when I was not destroying everything in sight even though that is how the game is intended to be played. And don't even get me started on the TF2. I might have been better if I closed my eyes while playing that game. It was embarassing when I was playing with my friends and I more deaths than all of our teams kills combined. Terrible just terrible.
Why are you such a racist?

:)

RTS' In general.

I play Online, and fail.

I play Campaign without cheats and fail.

I play the computer and fail.

Even on easy.

I can only win with cheats.

I still love them to death.

Fighting games, I'm better than most but lack the precise coordination to be a truly decent player in the competetive arena.

I had a very hard time hitting my head repeatedly against my own personal glass ceiling for some years in Virtua Fighter 5. Made it to become fourth of Holland, but was absolutely no match for #1-3. Since then I've slid off into some kind of mire between casual and competetive.

Games I really suck at though are rythm games, but I don't like playing them either. I'd rather just have a microphone and sing properly instead of having some buggering machine telling me I'm crap because I'm a couple milliseconds off here and there.

*bows head in shame* I am terrible at Dragon Age: Origins, I truly am. I have been playing on easy difficult because I was getting ra**d on normal. Welll, point being, I got to the Archdemon today, just ten minutes ago actually, and got ... well let's just say that I am starting again, attempting a different build.
