I suck at all games made by Westwood. You know, Red Alert, Tiberian Sun, etc.

I am terrible.

I suck at console FPSs. I hate it, because people will say "Girls suck at FPSs"* but I'm fine at them if I'm using a mouse. The joysticks are just too tricky for me to catch onto immediately. I still have a lot of fun though, mostly because I'm willing to laugh at myself.

*This has happened 4 times. Really, are there that few girls playing that I have to represent an entire gender?

I don't think I suck at any games but RTS would have to be my weakest area. I have no problem with spam fests like C&C, but with games like Age of Empires I don't do as well.

Either that or you all play in some underground hidden game room.

See I'm quite the opposite. I can easily, how do you say it, PWN! any console FPS, but I'm completly hopeless using the keyboard and mouse. I hate having to use w a s d to side step using more the arrows and trying to keep all the buttons around that end of the keyboard.

I'm completely horrible at RTSs but I like playing them for some reason.

To realize how much I suck, by the time I'm finished reading some of the building descriptions, the enemy is already half way through the map.

And that's just on easy difficulty.

Now picture me battling my friend. This time, by the time i'm finished reading the descriptions, he has his ion cannon ready.

But I just like playing them for some reason. Maybe it's the micromanegment or something.

That goes for all online games for me. I get killed every two seconds but I just can't stop playing them. The big problem is the team based gameplay in games like TF2. People on live can get really upset about having such a "noob" on their team.

And that's why I love the mute function.

Most RTS. Mainly because i don't have the patience to learn the strategies, unit functions, and still get rushed all the way to hell my first online match. This is aside from Warcraft 3, wich i've strangely gotten quite good at. Compared to my other RTS's that is.

I wonder why that is. I guess I spend more time doin' stuff on my computer than holding onto a controller. Oh wait! I'm fine with Wii FPSs, so it's not just being accustomed. It really is peculiar how much I suck at 360 and PS3 FPSs though:

I played Portal on a computer and did quite well if I dare be so brazen, so I went to a friend's and thought I'd show off my Portalin' skills on his console.
"Why are you walking into that wall?" he asks.
"I'm, er, I didn't mean to." I reply.
"Why are you still walking into that wall!? And looking at the floor?!"
"I'm admiring the graphics!"
"You're being shot!"
"Not anymore I'm not."
"Dying does not count as evasion."
Ah... good times.

Again just like myself on the PC. I make myself out to be quite an firce CoD4 playa. Playing it on PC.
"I can do this... damn it! Crotch, run, jump. Grenade. PICK IT UP! Ok, bugger it then."
"You died."
"No I didn't. I'm just admiring how much a bomber costs."

As for the PS3 controller, that gives my hands all sorts of odd cramps. It must have been Microsofts secret ploy to distort our fingures so. That or the PS3 controller is just so f'ed up.

I was the same. I still hate the ps3 controller for shooters. It gives me crippled claw lobster hands.

I suck at stealth games. Yet i love them. The irony.

That's because warcraft is quite easy to get into, you don't need to know every inch of the map or every unit shortkey in order to win..

I suck at most micro/macro rts games.. I can micro fine but usually micro means my guys on the other side of the map are getting killed. The exploiting unfriendly communities don't help much either in most rts games.. You're losing => zomfg, noob lolz u gunna di3! You're winning, FU, smurf.. Seriously now and they say fps was bad =/

Realistic racing games. I do fine with need for speed and such but realistic ones I always end up in the dirt quickly, cars isn't my thing anyway so.

Civ4, I'm actually pretty good on noble but I have a longggggggggg way to go before I'm actually "good". I play alot with a good friend of mine and he ALWAYS catches up to me in tech no matter how bad he starts , cottagespam is overpowerd imo >>

Any ww2 fps with small maps and rifles.. I hate rifles, I really do. I love bfmods like forgotten hope and call of duty: united offensive, but as soon as a small infantry map comes up I leave. It's boring, it's stupid and it's more counterstrike then anything else. I wouldn't call myself sucking but being good at constant camping and paying close attention to the screen to shoot that pixel in the corner faster then he shoots me just drains my energy like a madman. It's tireing, not fun at all.

Morrowind, well I suck.. enough said. It's a little too big for me and having to read through pages of text online most likely just to get an idea of what to do is too much..

Armadillo run, small puzzle gaming involing gravity and such. I'm no good with it at all :p Google a gameplay video if you're interested.

Flying games.. like sturmovik or just flying in battlefield. I know nothing of airial combat so I guess that's to blaim.

RTSs... it takes me forever to win a skirmish map, and that's if I sit down and play it. I'm alright at FPSs though, and funny enough, I'm not bad at either keyboard and mouse or controller.

Edit:

Brothers In Arms. A WW2 game with a realistic combat system, i.e. if you don't take cover and try to use the charge-in skirmish tactics that I love so huggy-muggy much, you will go down.
That's a shame. I reckon you should still try and finish it, since Brothers in Arms is worth it. For me, that is.

Sorry, you had to find out eventually. Now you have even more of a reason to.
Fine, I'll stop now. But seriously, the offers there.

Glad to see I wasn't the only one.

And yes, I like Splinter Cell, I wanted to be good at it, but failure is a terribly degrading thing.

I outright suck at martial-arts games and platformers. I'm also quite geographically challenged, and wish that the "easy" setting consisted of "normal" enemy fire but instead included navpoints and maps.

I don't know that I suck at RTS games, I just don't really have the patience for the micromanaging that most of them require.

(I guess I also suck at online multiplayer FPS, but given that I've been playing that portion of an FPS game for all of a week, I'm not sure whether that's inherent suck or simply inexperience that will ease up over time. I'm sure feeling like everyone's rank-up doormat in the meanwhile, though.)

Guitar Hero and PES. The GH is particularly irritating because I'm actually pretty good at guitar!

But I rule at every other game. EVERY. Game.

First, those two extra dots hurt. They really hurt. here i am, proud that i can play a game properly, and like Hindenburg descending in a cloud of fire, you take down my illusion of happiness. And i'd disagree with Warcraft being "easy". Sure, Singleplayer is a Breeze, but once you get online..Heh. Not knowing the maps or the proper shortcuts will result in "YOU HAVE BEEN DEFEATED" *dramatic music* kind of thing.

Counter strike source is the most frustrating one for me, because I like the game. But there is no way I can compete with people who have been playing obsessively for years and just get my ass kicked repeatadely.

Well, I suck at Guitar Hero. Add that fifth button and I'm getting my ass kicked all day. ALL. DAY.

Everything else I'm okay at, but I gotta say that I'm not very good at "unlockables". Things like finding "bonus" items in RPG's or FPS's, or in the case of the Xbox360, achievements. I don't have the patience for that kind of stuff, so I suck at it.
