I find that the best games are on the older console and they bring back such good memories. I learnt my lesson when it comes to trade in games, especially when you get next to nothing for them when you trade them in. Might as well keep them if your not going to get much money for them.

For me, it was Star Wars: the force unleashed. I know it didnt have that much replay value, but I REALLY missed being able to contempuously flick guys into the void. It was such a good stress reliever, and as I was playing it, I started to get a Sith-like arrogance in the way I played.

Prototype is one I regret trading in right now, since playing the Crackdown 2 demo gave me a strong urge to revisit that game instead of getting me excited for playing the full game of Crackdown 2.

However, the trade-in I regret the most was Fallout 3 and Batman Arkham Asylum, and I traded those games in for Left 4 Dead 2...which I rarely ever play at all, and is now in need of repair.

I managed to get Fallout 3 back for free though, despite the condition it is in when I got it.

Well, Brutal Legends, I had it for PS3 and sold it... I regret it for some time but later on I picked it up again for USD 20 brand new for my XBOX =) (I sold the first one at USD 40)
I wouldn't really call that a regret...

Well, at least you got them back. Gamestop sure does have some of the shittiest trade in policies.
True. I remember looking at the games after I traded them in just to see how much they were. It pissed me off immensely.

It's not a mere 50 or even 60% increase in price. It's in the hundreds of percent mark ups. I remember specifically trading in FFX and I got I think something like $3.50 and they were selling it for 19.99

WHAT????

It made me so mad when I saw how much it cost to get it back. Nearly 300 dollars to get everything back and I only got a mere 80 when I sold initially.
Well, at least you're up in the States and not where I am. 300 bucks would only get me 2-3 games at the most.

How long did it take for you to get all your games back?

Knights Of The Old Republic. Yes, I traded in KOTOR. I am an idiot.
Also, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. I don't even remember trading it in; I think it must have gotten mixed in with some other games that I meant to trade. Either way, I don't have it now, and I really wish I did.

Pretty much EVERY game I've ever traded in, which isn't many primarily because of that problem. The last time I traded in a game was for the SNES, and I've made sure to never trade in my games since. I almost traded in a DS game, but thankfully they would've given me piss shit all for it (and then tripled the price) so I said no thanks.

Kingdom Hearts 2. Sad day.

Well, actually I was selling Battlefront 2 (another game I loved, but it broke), when unfortunately the discs got in the wrong cases and I ended up with a few extra bucks, a broken FPS and a missing JRPG.

Sigh.

I traded in Far Cry 2 (I'm a sucker for map editors) and The Orange Box to buy Red Faction Gurilla. I regret in much now.

Jebus died for all our sins, but this is too big for him to take down.

OT: I never sell my games, like ever (PC gamer, so the idea's never been particularly valid). Yet in a fit of /facepalm I sold Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory.

InFamous and Assassins Creed II. I liked InFamous, and the DLC for ACII came out right after we sold our copy.

My first copy of Final Fantasy IV (US release #2). I lost all of my save data and I had all of the final items and levels at like 60+ per character. (I usually don't go that overboard with rpgs though) - offtopic but Rydia will learn meteor at lvl 50 or 60 I forget which.
