Search bar found 1 old topic, but didnt do well so thought i would try my hand at it as my first propper topic..

So ive just been playing forgotton hope 2 (mod for BF2) and i thought, why not try BF2? ive not been on it in years although ive played fh2 quite a bit.

Dont get me wrong, i absolutly loved BF2 in the day, i spent countless nights on it but after playing bad company (i know not a propper sequel) and recently the BF3 beta, i can say that Dice have done a great job on improving from BF2 in my opinion, yes i know many die hard fans will disagree, but the chopper controls felt really "floaty", jets felt pretty much the same to me anyway and the gameplay just felt... well wrong =/

Im quite disapointed that i seem to have lost my love for the game which brings me to the question in hand, what games did you use to play and love but have recently, well come to dislike?

I was a keen Fallout fan and have been since the first one. I even love the black sheep of the family - Fallout Tactics. However I have fallen out with Fallout 3. I just can't play it any more. I have tried starting again with several different character ideas and honestly I can't stand the idea. So much so that I have avoided New Vegas.

I'm not sure why and I'm not sure whether there's discussion value in it. It's just a thing.

Halo. I adored the first, the second was even more fun, and ODST was probably only second to CE. But, 3 was bland and repetitive. And don't even get me started on Reach...

I can sort of relate, ive just tried to finish honest hearts dlc for new vegas... and i cant bring my self to do it, i think ive grown tired of fallout 3 and new vegas now. Problem their for me at least was i put that many hours into fallout 3 + mods, but new vegas was the same game, different wasteland. I think when your forcing your self through a game, its time to walk away and shelf it

I used to love GTA 1 and 2 - y'know, the old top down ones. Can't play them anymore, the controls are so bothersome to the point I can't understand how I played them well. It's a shame, they're my favorites despite being so hard to play.

World of Warcraft. I started in Wrath and the game was a lot of fun, there was an awesome villain, the Lich King, and Northrend had a great setting. Then Cataclysm came and the game became monotonous with the addition of dailies. They didn't add a new big city that both factions could enter which led to everyone just sitting in Org or Stormwind all day waiting for dungeons/battlegrounds. Tol Barad the new PvP map was utter fail and the overall end game content was lacking. The one cool thing was that they revamped 1-60 leveling but I had already leveled two characters to max level and I couldn't bring myself to do it again. Cata fell short in terms of making the game feel fresh. Gameplay wise nothing was added and the whole "Kill 500 boars for 10 gold" bit is archaic by todays game standards.
