A Borderlands MMO could be incredibly epic but i doubt we'll ever see it.

Ok, picture this, a world like the one in WoW. Big, Epic, many large and diverse areas, none of them separated by loading screens, cities where players tend to congregate to trade goods and bank things for later. Then take the bones of Borderlands and put it in that world. Maybe add a few more classes if appropriate, and more talent trees.
And this is the next big thing, if you've ever played the original mech warrior games then you'll know exactly what i mean when i say FULL VEHICLE CUSTOMIZATION! Basically you would find various car parts from quests and such, maybe some chassis too. You could also buy parts and chassis. Anyway, your chosen chassis would have base stats and different slots, where you could put weapons, pick the armor type, and wheel types, all with different advantages and disadvantages.

What may count: Tales of Vesperia for the PS3, In English. The extended version too. The entire game they built up Flyn as some awesome guy, and you get really excited when he finnally joins your party, but when he does, he only has 4 attacks, no secret arts, and leaves after 1 battle!!! Oh, not to mention that you can use 4 times as many techniques at once (mapped to the controller that is) than in the Xbox version? Why? No clue. The extended version has more dungeons, characters, weapons, dual secret arts, and Indignation (those familiar with the series will understand why this not being in the game is an outrage.). Its is overall a better game than the original, and i would buy it in a heartbeat. Whats stopping me from just importing it you ask? Well, apart from my inablity to read Japaneese, FREAKING REGION LOCKED SOFTWARE!! RAGE!

What will defiantly count: Zone of the Enders 3.
