Is anyone else here tired of the same Mario, Metroid, Zelda rigmarole year after year? I sure as hell am, and I want Nintendo to do something different. And yes, while it was nice to see a new Donkey Kong and Kirby game recently, it's really just not enough. Nintendo has plenty of other franchises that for some reason (probably cause then don't wanna get out of their security blanket of safety) they won't make more games of. And that brings me to the first game that I want them to make:
A new Pokemon Snap game
Pokemon Snap was one of my favorite games growing up, and it's still fun to go back to today. So why the hell doesn't Nintendo make another one? I mean, they have the rights to one of the most successful juggernaut franchises in human history, and what do they do? Just churn out the same game in a different locale with some new increasingly stupid pokemon over and over. And speaking of the new pokemon, with Black and White there are well over 600 pokemon now, so not making another Pokemon Snap game must be one of the biggest missed opportunities ever. Not to mention that the Wiimote is perfect for a point and click camera game, so yeah, get on that Nintendo. After that, I also really want them to make:
A new F-Zero game
I don't even like racing games and I want more F-Zero. Maybe it's because I love Captain Falcon so much, but whatever, the point is that it would be something different out of Nintendo. But to be fair Nintendo has made some sequels since the original on the SNES, namely F-Zero X on the N64 and F-Zero GX on the Gamecube, but other than that (outside of Japan) there has been nothing new for the F-Zero franchise. And GX was way back in 2003, so its been a solid 7 years of no F-Zero. So I think it's about time that good old Captain Falcon gets his Wii debut. (Super Smash Bros doesn't count of course)
Ive been thinking about these ideas for a while, so I wondered if there was anyone else who wanted something different out of Nintendo.
