Games you WANT to be good, but know won't!

Its the video game tie in the Thor movie, even though the trailer looks good (Despite the voice acting)..Its a Movie tie in..being made by Sega....who made the Ironman games...you can see where I'm going with this. But as a Superhero nerd, I want an awesome Thor game!!

I really really really want Lotr War in the North to be good...

Despite knowing it will probably turn out pants I will get it regardless...Still cant believe I wasted my money on Conquest when it came out - but thats me...just a big ol' Lotr nerd - heck even the road I live in is named after part of the shire!

Crysis 2, I want to believe it can be good but I have yet to hear anything about it that doesn't get on my nerves. Is case you are confused here is a checklist of stupid things to do with the franchise:

Far more drab environments
Far, far more boring enemies
Inconsistent storyline
Laggy multiplayer
Obvious pc port (This may not be as much as an issue as it sounds though, Bulletstorm has proven to me that ports aint all that bad sometimes.)

I don't KNOW if it will suck, but I have a strong feeling that Duke Nukem is gonna suck. Hell, for all I know it may be amazing, but I'm going to wait a bit before buying to see other's opinions on the game.

Yeah ok, new york is a lot less interesting then the jungle of some random island, BUT crytek haven't been there yet.

How so? All you've got is a MP demo, and a couple trailers, The first one only had Koreans and floaty alien things in it too. Not seeing a great deal of different here.

Where did you pull this from? Again only the MP demo has been released. Can't say.

I have had no problem with either of these too. It isn't a port either, there is no lead platform. Just a matter of finding the right server for the lag. My only gripe with what I've played so far is the bloom, I think the first crysis looks better simply cause they don't have bloom spewing into face and softening everything it touches.

Far, far more boring enemies There's humans, and then there's aliens with better AI than the last lot - not sure how that makes them considerably worse.
Inconsistent storyline Across the two games, or just in this? Because we can hardly comment on what the storyline is like in the second yet.
Laggy multiplayer Old build of the demo is old.

The PC is doing its own thing. They told us (and showed us) this before they even announced anything about the second beyond the fact that they were making it.

Devil May Cry 5. Its gonna be DMC 2 all over again. i liked dante as a character because he was awesome, had his shit together, was happy even when impaled by his own sword, funny wise cracker, just overall awesome. emo depressed looking Dante is a big no no. he doesn't look awesome he just looks like a drug addled emo with more emotional issues than you can shake a stick at. i don't really care that this is Dante before we knew him, still doesn't excuse the poor judgment at Capcom by cashing out on the retarded generation of "no one understands me". ARRGG!!

I have a sinking feeling that I'll be disappointed by Skyrim. It's not so much that I know it won't be good, I just know that the finished product will not match the exceedingly high expectations that Bethesda have put in place and will continue to plant.

I didn't experience any multiplayer lag either... but dude, the console port thing is pretty obvious... Press Start at the beginning? I don't see how it's problematic but it's still there.

Its not a console port if there was no lead platform, That press start thing is as old as the hills the only difference is it used to say insert coin. One screen(that's been around longer then you and I) at the start of a game doesn't make it a port.
