I'd like to play Persona 3 and 4 but both would require me getting a PS2 or a PS Vita. I don't particularly want either except to play those games, so they aren't really worth it right now. I am hoping they will release them for the PS3 like Ico, Shadow of the Colossus and Silent Hill 2.
If you have a PS3, you can buy Persona 3 FES as a PS2 classic off the PlayStation Store.
EDITED:

In America (and Canada as well it seems), yes. I do not live in America (or Canada).

Or to be more precise, not on the European PSN. Atlus apparently hates this part of the world.

There's a few console exclusives I was interested in...uh...Journey, and that Last of Us game. I think there was another one too. Was it Heavy Rain? Maybe it was Heavy Rain. However, I refuse to buy a $400 piece of hardware to play three frigging games.

On the PC, I'd love to play Dwarf Fortress, but I CANNOT abide that UI. I wait patiently for the day when either A) a playable spiritual successor is finally released, or B) someone mods in a handsome graphics/UI patch that upgrades it to "tolerable".

Damn, I had actually been looking up whether it was available in other regions as well while writing that post, but got sidetracked with something else. Sorry 'bout that. And yeah, the Store is the same in Canada as it is in the US; I'm Canadian myself.

There are graphic patches. Google the Lazy Newb Pack, it has two of them ready for easy installation.

I'll check it out, but the last I looked all available graphics and UI overhauls merely upgraded the game from "Utter Nightmare" to "Ghastly".

Journey and The Unfinished Swan for the PS3, although I think I'll see what the price drops on Black Friday will be like so maybe towards the end of the year I can finally play those two games.

I would love to be able to get DayZ to run, but I keep getting an error message and despite my best attempts to fix it using the guides I find online I can't do it, so I'll just wait till the standalone comes out.

It's probably a stupid choice, but I kind of want to play the MLP game, which I can't since I lack a smart phone. Another one is that new LEGO city game, but I'm not buying a Wii U for one game. Maybe if they bring out a big Pokémon game on it.

Starcraft II. Because buying it online is a pain in the ass and I'm not willing to spend 40 dollars on a 3 year old game.

For me, it's the Uncharted games. I didn't have a PS3 when they were new, and now my backlog is too think to add bulky adventure games to it. Especially with all the new titles up for the holidays this year and next. Probably games I'll never get to play.
If bulky is your worry you can lay it to rest. You can play through the story mode of each game in around 8 hours and they do play very well, excluding the 2nd jet ski section in the 1st game, to hell with that bit. You're missing out if you don't give at least the single player of 2 and 3 (at least) a shot.

Could be a little more descriptive with that.

OT: Shadow of the Colosses, I own the game and I know it is good but I just can't play it, my PS2 is a ***** and only sometime works.

Mother 3
Because the powers that be thought that no one in North America would want to play them, and even though there are much cheaper (digital) distribution methods and most if not all of the above were already localized in English, they still won't take my money.
You and me both. Mother 3 is the game I want to play, but my desire to play it legally because it actually does exist in English translations at astronomical prices is what keeps me from trying to find it.

Eurotruck 2, Kerbal Space Program, Sir You Are Being Hunted, Guns of Icarus Online, Sleeping Dogs, Payday 2, Don't Starve, Bioshock: Infinite and more.
Mostly can't play them because my more powerful laptops motherboard is dead and the one i'm using now has a weak-sauce processor so none of those games run at a playable frame rate.

I'd like to play through Brutal Legend, bought it on Steam the other day. Unfortunately i'm getting serious input delay which basically makes the game unplayable, i've tried the few fixes some people have suggested on various forums but no luck, and the dev's don't seem to have released any sort of official fix.

Aside from that theres a load of games for various consoles i'd like to play, the Last of Us, Tokyo Jungle, the Uncharted games on the PS3. Zelda, some of the Mario games, Metroid on the various Nintendo consoles. And quite a few PC games that my computer basically can't run, Alan Wake (oddly), Battlefield 3, Metro: Last Light, and more i'm forgetting.

Honestly there's loads of games i'd like to play, far too many to remember them all.

A lot of the games I'd want to play I probably could, I just need to hook up the systems again and get cables that can work with the newer televisions.

These three games broke for whatever reason and I can't get my steam copy of Fallout 3 to operate properly. I only ever wanted to mod the crap out of the wasteland, is that too much to ask?

List:
Fallout 3 (on the PC)
Champions of Norrath
Final Fantasy 7

For me it is Persona 4. I really don't want to buy a vita and I don't think it is up on PSN, so I'm stuck with the waiting game until then.

The Last of Us I really want to play, but I spend the rest of my game budget until Christmas on Rome 2 and Brave New World. I have no regrets but I really wanna try it out.
