The first Spyro the Dragon games. Hell, I'd even settle for the first one, it was such a solid title.

And I can always hope beyond hope that Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil gets its due veneration.

For me there will always be one game that is more deserving of such a remake than any other...

Star Wars Ep 1: Racer.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t8FVL46rZm0

Dated as it is, it holds up beautifully, and it still remains to be my favorite racing game of all time. Even with the limited hardware of the time, they did an amazing job in their texture work to make it at least ~feel~ like you were racing at hundreds of miles an hour, in all the environments that were so varied and beautiful. As you made your way through the tournaments, sometimes you'd revisit old worlds but explore new parts of the track, and see even MORE crazy-cool environments. I don't think it'd warrant even the cheaper $40 tag that most remakes get, but I could see it as a $15-$20 release on Steam, PSN, and XBLA. Although personally I wouldn't hesitate to drop $60 on it because I love it so much, but that's probably just me, XP

I know it's sort of a niche choice, but still it's one of my favorites. I'd like to see other old Star Wars games remade as well, like the Dark Forces and Jedi Academy games.

While I'm at it, there's also some other older titles: Freelancer, Black & White 1 and its expansion Creature Isle, the MegaMan Legends games, any or all of the MegaMan X series, aaand I think Final Fantasy 7, 8, and 12. Can't really think of anything else that hasn't already been made. Yep.

The fact that I actually forgot about Lunatea's Veil makes me feel very very ashamed! >.<
That game deserves and HD remake for sure!

Hmmm, cant really think of many games I'd want just the graphics redone. Easier to think of older games I'd want sequels but would play if upgraded to HD:

Powerstone 2
Sonic Adventure 1&2
Timespliiters (As previously mentioned)
Kotor
Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge

Edit: Oh wait I got it. Legacy of Kain, pretty much all of em.

I say it every single time, I would love to see Illusion of Time re released, it doesn't even have to have shiny HD graphics, I would just like to play it again.
What is preventing you from playing it?
I don't have a SNES or the game anymore. I'm not actually sure what happened to my SNES, but younger me was an idiot and obviously got rid of it when I got my N64.

Deus Ex. The greatest masterpiece in gaming history hasn't aged well. Its graphics and physics could use a modern overhaul.

This is more for the plot concept of the original, which I'd love to see get a narrative workover, and perhaps some elements built upon.

It was one of those semi-3d rpg's you got on the atari st/amiga where you used in screen buttons to guide a team of adventurers on their job. In this case your four adventurers where a team of robots in a sci-fi universe.

The plot? You had accidentally found out something that could bring down the galactic government, and in order to prevent it getting out you had been falsely accused and convicted of a crime that saw you being put in suspended animation untill you forgot whatever it was you had found out. When you awake, the galactic government has collapsed into anarchy, and you have been forgotten about entirely. In your cell you find a remote control computer for a group of four forgotten robots on a forgotten spaceship, and you must guide them to bases around the galaxy to find out just where your prison is, disable the shields protecting it and then rescue yourself.

I'd love to see a narrative where the robots (or one robot perhaps) is self aware, and the controller is contacting them with guidance and perhaps for someone to just talk to along the way. Perhaps play with the DiD trope by having the damsel being pro-active in her rescue, or the implication that the damsel is figuratively saving herself if you want the robot/s to be entirely remote controlled by the controller.

Again, another concept I'd like to see get a modern tweaking. you play a hacker who has to guide his girlfriend into the headquarters of a company that records and sells dreams to steal a corrupted dream that will kill anyone who experiences it before its released. the game had you looking through the blueprint to figure out a safe route for your girlfriend, helping her avoid cameras, robots and electric floors, while you would have to interact with the level in a 'cyberspace' 3D roaming shoot em up. dodging security programs, and interacting with nodes in the world to affect elements of the blueprint so as to guide your gf or redirect robots or shut down cameras. Best bit? guiding your GF to the corrupted memory on the top floor of the building was only half the game - you then had to get her back down to the first floor and out the building, witht he simple switching of objectives totally changing how some levels were played onthe way out.

Halo 2 in Halo 3 graphics, I think I've said this in a previous thread but my money would be wrenched out of every corner to play it.

Also FarCry 1. Wait, it's actually happening! Oh my deity yes yes yes!

Morrowind. Preferably with oblivion-like combat. As in, that you don't have to hack at a scrub 10 times to get 2 hits and kill it. There is an unofficial one, and that's already really nice. But I'd like a proper, official one as well.

Vandal hearts II. I LOVED that game back in my PS1 days. It's really outdated these days though. I'd love to see a HD version of it, or a new game entirely with modern day engines.
Toss in Arena and Daggerfall too.

Let's see, I would like:

Secret of Mana
Wild ARMs 1
Grandia
Secret of Evermore
Legend of Mana
Legend of Dragoon
Chrono Trigger
Timesplitters
Suikoden 2
Xenogears
Breath of Fire 1, 2 & 3 (maybe 4, too)
Megaman Legends

Just to name a few.

EDIT: Also adding to that list is King's Field and King's Field 2.

I would love to see a HD remake of the Spy VS Spy: The Island Caper, the idea that the game had, has always been a massive charm for me but the decades old graphics are kinda off putting to say the least.

Zelda: Twilight Princess would be my first choice. I can see it happening anyway in the future, but despite the good reasons for Wind Waker getting the HD treatment, Twilight Princess needs it so much more. It still looks good, but in time it would be nice to its great art style fully realized in HD. Better yet, make it look like the Wii U Zelda tech demo, as long as it is the Gamecube version that gets remastered.
I wholeheartedly agree on the Gamecube version of TP getting remade. Not because the Wii version makes Link right-handed, but because I can't navigate the Wii version. I got stuck in Ordon Village like I'd never even played the game, but worse.

My choices would be:

Golden Sun
Golden Sun: The Lost Age

All I want are cleaner graphics. Only that. I would pay twice the normal price for that.

A thousand times this. They don't even need to tart it up. Just expand the content.

The main game that came to mind for me was 'Vagrant Story'. With that though, given Square-Enix's recent track record, I think I'd be OK if it was just remastered as opposed to re-made because I don't envision that ending well.

Plus they could fix that Cannon room glitch that actually affected me and caused me to have to restart the entire game from scratch! T^T
I played TP back when it first came out and the glitch had just been discovered a few days earlier so I didn't know.

Silent Storm, Silent Hunter 3/4, IL-2 Sturmovik 1946, Star Wars Battlefront.

These are all classic games that could really benefit from a facelift.
