EA. I've never personally been affected by their policies, but I've just read too much and their practices are just too unscrupulous. I won't support them.
Good one!omicron1 said:Anything Xbox-exclusive.
Seriously, Microsoft, if you showed even the slightest HINT of respect towards your PC customers, it would be much, much easier to not hate you.
I've watched my friends play new vegas for enough time to know that i would hate it just as much as fallout 3. when it comes to games like elder scrolls or fallout the enviroment that i'm exploring is waaaay more important than anything else. I like the rich lusious fantasy worlds of elder scrolls but the fallout games just bore and depress meKefkaCultist said:I respect your opinion and all and I agree that a Fallout set in the jungle could be pretty sweet, but I think you're missing out a bit by not playing New Vegas. It is actually a really good RPG and it's way better than Fallout 3 in my opinion.sketch_zeppelin said:Fallout New vegas.
I'm sick of games set in a post apocalyptic wasteland but new vegas is set in the desert...so its set in the wasteland of the wasteland...fucking hell?! Really? A wasteland is bad enough but a wasteland desert? how would you fucking even tell the difference?
I'd been impressed that if the climate shift from all the nukes turned the desert into a radioactive but lush jungle.
think about fallout but set in the toxic jungle from Nuastica and the Valley of the wind (or Warriors of the Wind if your old like me). That would be sweet!
Bully actually has a VERY strong anti-bullying message. Once the main character defeats one of the rival factions, i.e. Jocks, he tells them to stop bullying the smaller guys and gals. The game's all about helping others out with their problems, not yours. The main character's actually a nice guy, he's just mad that his mom got re-married (again for the third time), and that she sent him to prep-school.Lionsfan1986 said:I would have to say Bully! I was bullied and making the main hero ot anti-hero for game insults me and anyone else who was bullied!
I refuse to buy games that cost over £20, if that counts.Flailing Escapist said:Has anybody else been so traumatized by a game in the past that you've flat out refused to indulge the devs by buying any future games?
It's both of those things. Also see the Jimquisition and Extra Credits episodes about EA. I think there's an extra punctuation about EA too. There's lots. Activisions used to be on my list too but I've since revised my position on that one. Like yourself, ubisoft is also coming up on my list.Sjakie said:why not? Is it the SOPA thing or just that hideous malware called Origin? Since those are the 2 reasons why i wont. The really shitty thing about it is that those 2 reasons have nothing to do with the games(developer) itself, just the douchebag Publisher behind it. I still like Bioware...even after DA2 which was just an insult to the genre, so go figure.MoNKeyYy said:I'm not going to buy Mass Effect 3 and I will not buy any EA game simply on a matter of principle. I love Bioware. Let me repeat: I FUCKING LOVE BIOWARE. I've played more KOTOR and Mass Effect 1/2 than I think I have every single other game put together, maybe excluding Bethesda games. But I can't fucking do it anymore.
Also Ubisoft is coming close to my 'will not buy list', because of the DRM: If your gonna treat all your customers like they are possible pirates, dont be suprised if some start acting like it.
I used to be a pirate when i was a selfish teenager, then i grew up, got a job and money and start buying games to support the companies and i always wanted my bookcase to be full of gameboxes. Now i'm considering going back to piracy to escape all the privacy-invasion and DRM hassle from said companies.
