Skylanders: "Spyro's" Adventure

IT'S NOT A MOTHERFUCKING SPYRO GAME. >_<
If you take away the Spyro name, it's a fun platformer with an interesting way to keep track of your characters levels and progress, also hats.

I don't buy any game that looks unappealing, and stay away from game series that have many sequels.

Oddly enough you don't need to buy the toys to beat it. Also, why does Spyro look more like Malfor from the Legend of Spyro series? :/

Other then that, if I find Origin attached to my favorite game I will remove it by any means nessecary.

Does the company support SOPA/PIPA/Similar draconian measures? Do they punish you for being a legal customer (always on DRM, limited activation etc)? If yes then I don't pay for their games/movies/music/other. This policy saves me lots of money I find.

so what I am getting from this thread, "I refuse a game because of the publisher.." Really are so many of you that retarded?? You do not buy games based on the company you buy them if there a piece of shit.

On a set note I refuse to buy any wii vc, psn, xbla, IOS or Android port of game that I already own a physical copy of. I can mod my wii to play all of the old games that I legally own "up to the ps1/n64" by using "roms/emulators and Iso's/CUE's".

Anything from Capcom until Megaman gets another full release.

It also helps that I have 0 interest in any of their other games.

If I think I might enjoy a game I'll buy it.
There are far too many people these days stuck up their own arses who ***** and windge about products made for their enjoyment.

As some have already said in this thread, there aren't games I won't buy because I don't like something the developers did. Ubisoft makes good games, whether or not you like their policies (I don't care for them). EA/Bioware have things like Mass Effect, and Origin doesn't bother me too terribly much.

DLC? Doesn't bother me. I don't have to buy it, after all. Things like Arkham City, where you have to buy it new to get the Catwoman part or pay some money to buy it online. I just wait until for the price of a new copy to go down, or I get a used copy and then buy the DLC if that happens to be cheaper. Most DLC you do not have to buy. Map packs, skins, etc., are just icing on the cake for those of us who want to give extra money to the developers so they'll make the sequel or those of us who actually do derive enjoyment from playing through a game with, say, Hope dressed as Ezio Auditore or whatever the DLC for FFXIII-2 happens to be.

However, sports games and most FPS are things I will never buy, because I dislike sports and FPS games always give me the feeling that something is sneaking up behind me. ;)

That's pretty much my general feeling on the matter.

As much as I hate DRM, I'm not going to not buy Diablo 3 or any Assassin's Creed games just because the games respected companies make bad decisions. I'm not going to punish the developer for that.

And I've never understood the argument about DLC, it's not like it's required to have, so all the complaining is lost on me. The only exception I can think of is $15 for a map pack or some really small DLC, only then can I see someone not buying that for that reason, but other than that, not so much.

I didn't get Battlefield 3 because of Origin. I didn't get MW3 because I didn't think it looked much better then MW2.

Other then that I don't really refuse to buy games out of protest.

Anything made by Bethesda. I don't like the way they let a ton of bugs through. I also bought Oblivion for 5 dollars to give them a chance. It didn't even start, it just failed to launch.

Anything with always online DRM and DmC.

DmC doesn't even look like a bad game, but it looks like a terrible Devil May Cry. I hate Dino, slightly for the new looks but mostly because he doesn't have Dante's CUHRAZZY personality. Dante is that bright and cocky badass in a bleak world and it makes him stand out while you kill enemies with ssstyle. That's why I like Nero too.

DmC completely inverted it and gives you a bland protag that the background is more interesting than with generic moves. The platforming sections look interesting, but DMC isn't a platformer.

Just about any new game made by a company whose name is not Valve. I'll probably wait a few years for the price to drop. I'm more than willing to buy games from the '80s and '90s that I've heard were pretty decent, but not now, because I could buy 3 old games for the price of one new one. For instance, I just got Dragon Warrior (NES), Illusion of Gaia, and a Dreamcast for 4 dollars more than a new game for the PS3 or Xbox 360.

Mario. PETA really opened my eyes to the atrocities that game endorses and I for one am not going to support such heartless bastards.

And any game that follows the same formula with little to no real change. you know, CoD, Zelda, Halo, DMC, MK, HL, Mario, AC, etc.

but seriously, none, cause any reason I could come up with would be exceedingly petty and stupid, and Im sure it would be hypocritical to some end.

Games after movies. Just...just no. A movie should stay a movie and never be formatted into a video game. Like if you were to watch a movie and it gave such high reviews, then you hear that said movie was going to be a video game. A lot of people go, "oh hell yeah, I got to get this." only to be disappointed by the game play, the missions and the side missions that take away from the greatness.

BioWare, Sony, Nintendo and EA. Bioware, because if I want to read a book, I won't spend upwards of 40 pound, when I'm expecting a game. Sony, Nintendo and EA, because they support SOPA, they claim to have withdrawn their support, but it is just a marketing ploy and I am not convinced.

i refuse to buy anymore games made by obsidian after nwn2...
-way to much bugs, even in the fully patched version...
-patches actually introduced crashed and glitches x..x
-them making horrible choices, hmm what shall we add for the expansion? ow i know a curse that kills you if you take to long wohoo...

i'm rather on the fence about bioware games as well, their current games all seem very bland and below their abilities...

that and diablo 3 i'd refuse to buy cause of the real money trade thing, but i wasn't to interested in that to begin with so not sure if it counts.

The only games I don't buy out of protest are Ubisoft ones, as, according to them, since I'm a PC gamer I should just pirate it instead. They can go F*** themselves. Honestly, I wouldn't even pirate their games, 'cause then they can feel that people enjoyed it because they downloaded it so much. Ubisoft, in its current state, is IMO the biggest blight in gaming today.

Other than that, I stick away from games that either will be impractical to play (Always online DRM simply won't work for me, so I won't buy anything with it as I won't be able to play it) or that I have no interest in (CoD, anything with motion controls, fighting games).

I don't have any principle against them, they just either don't interest me or quite simply will not work for me, thus buying them would be spending money for the sake of spending money - a monumentally stupid thing to do.
