The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay. That was a pretty nice game, but Assault On Dark Athena was... lacking in comparison. It just wasn't as fun.

San-Andreas. GTA IV was just a disappointment after that.
Oh, thought of one more, Halo 3. ODST and Reach are just extra grabs for money that shouldn't exist. Go and die Bungie. I hate you. So much.

Damn son, how could you say that? Metal Gear Solid 3 is one of my favourite games ever, and Metal Gear Solid 2 was great aswell.
MGS3 is over-rated, and MGS2 was badly written and you played as Raiden; 'nuff said.

I'm gonna have to stop you right there.

I will not have anyone diss ODST. Plus, Halo 3 was a grab for money in itself. It was a badly made, rushed game that could've been so much more.

ODST was a step forward; I want more games like that; in which you have a game that solely revolves around playing with people you know, and you can only play co-op.

I never touched the multi-player disc on ODST, nor did a lot of people; simply for the fact that ODST itself was a far superior game due to the fact that Firefight was fricking AWESOME.

The campaign was pretty epic too; short, but well made; at least in that sense it was entirely different to the horror that was Halo 3.

The guns worked better too; why did the human race decide to take a step BACKWARDS with technology? I mean, the pistol from Halo: Combat Evolved was amazing, yet when you got to Halo 3, it was like trying to take down a tank with a plastic sword.

So no, I'm sorry, but you actually are wrong. Some people say that opinions like this can't be right or wrong, but in this case, you are. ODST was fantastic, and people just never gave it a chance because they took one look at the case and saw that there was a copy of the Halo 3 multiplayer in there; which was just purely awful.

I disagree with the first statement, and you get used to Raiden being a raging pussy.

Raiden is arguably the most irritating main character ever to be put into any video game I've played and I stick by that. He (along with the bullet-deflecting sword) ruined MGS2.

As for MGS3, I got a lend of it after having been told it was "The best game ever; LITERALLY"

It was not. It was mediocre. Most of it was actually quite boring.

I partially agree with you on the Raiden thing, but I present Sora from Kingdom Hearts.

But I respect your opinion on Metal Gear Solid 3, even though I still regard it as one of my favourite games, along with Street Fighter 2, Halo and Ocarina Of Time.

Left 4 Dead, They should have just updated the game and added the content of the second one. Damn money grabbers, I liked the characters in the first one way better then the second.

Looks like someone's a little insecure about their favorite game...

Hah! It was by no means my favourite game. Far from it, in fact. I can name large numbers of games which I prefer. Want me to try for 10 in under 3 minutes?
Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Halo: Combat Evolved, Dragon Age: Origins, Left 4 Dead, Gears of War 2, Blur, Project Gotham Racing, System Shock 2, Deus Ex, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.

Took me like a minute and a half.

Overlord.

The first one was fun and all, but was it REALLY worth a sequel?
I too prefer the first one over the sequel. Why did I have to magically submit the citizens to my will, rather than, like in the first game, actually gaining their respect, love, and servitude by doing nice things for them?

Bioshock, Modern Warfare. There's several sequels of which the development money could have been better spent, IMO, but I do not play them so much, so I do not care. (Half Life 2 for example)

Edit: Command and Conquer. Any C&C before EA started abusing the corpse left by renegade, was decent. But I'm not sure about the time-frame so I might be making a mistake here.

(I do not like EA's C&C and I do not like Renegade)

Hmmm. I have to say MW2. I semi liked the original in a way but the multiplayer really annoyed me in a big way. And I think I only got MW2 because of all the hype that surrounded it. My friends still won't shut up about it and I think it's just completely overrated.

(Don't say anything half life fans. HL2 was a basic shooter that is not unique in any ways beside decent voice acting and last gen physics. Stop claiming that it's the best game of all time, it's not! I don't care what it revelutionized, nowadays, it's aggressively average.) Bioshock 2 isn't a bad game, don't get me wrong; it just unecessary.
You know, you may want to retract that statement before....oh, too late. Did you really have to dig out the whole Half-Life 2 thing again? Seriously, this got tired and old a long, long time ago.

Yes, to the eye of someone picking up HL2 today it will seem average, but that was far form the case back when it was first released. Back then, the voice acting, exposition, physics, atmosphere, everything just seemed top notch. There's no point even trying to approach the game from todays perspective. Things have changed a lot since it's release, but that doesn't change the quality of the game itself.

Now let's just file this away under "things I will never post about ever again!" and get on with the task at hand shall we.

I may have been able to ignore this if it wasn't for the "don't say anything half life fans" comment. That sealed the deal, I'm afraid.

I picked this game up when it was still supposedly "top of the line". Not that great.

bioshock, definitely. or at least a better sequel
I disagree, Bioshock 2 was a great game, i especially loved the part where you see through the eyes of a lil sister, i didn't realize they saw the world so dramatically different.

and unlike Bio1, i got the good ending, WHOO HOO

Condemned, Chrono Trigger, Metal Gear Solid, and every main-canon Final Fantasy that's gotten a sequel or spinoff so far.

Condemned, for one, probably won't ever get another iteration because of how hard Condemned 2 screwed up. A real shame, considering that, as of 24th September 2011, Condemned: Criminal Origins will have been the best survival horror game of the past decade.
