Well, I wish Borderlands' online servers weren't dead. It would make Moxxi's Underdome less boring.
That.... is the only set of achievements I havent gotten for the first borderlands. I got one of them, but every single frakking time I have tried to complete the other "zones" it never fails... an hour plus into it, and a mob spawns outside of the blasted arena, and I cannot finish. Every. TIME. I gave up.
I only pulled it off with a modded shield/shotgun. Easiest thing in the world with modded stuff. But it still takes 2 solid hours to complete each challenge, so it's incredibly boring to do alone.

Yeah, I got a modded shield/machine gun... but like you said, it STILL almost takes 2 hours each, and I got incredibly unlucky and had mob spawns outside of the map multiple times in a row... and in all cases, I was at the very end. It broke me, I am unashamed to admit.

Chromehounds. I will forever be sad for not getting to play the multiplayer on that game. The severs were shut down just a few days before I could get my XBL account activated and it sucks. Even worse is that I've run into a few guys who used to play it and they told me how much fun it was.

I thought there was a New ZoE game in the works, I remember hearing about one awhile ago. Did it get canned?

Breath of Fire and Parasite Eve

My two favorite JRPGs :/ dead before they're time due to really bad/mundane design choices

Phantasy Star Online Episode 1 & 2, I really miss that game. Sure, sometimes it's a pain in the arse( I still have nightmares about those drop rates) but it was really fun.

In fact, add all Phantasy stars after it. Phantasy star Portable 2 which came out on the psp
a few years ago is also dead and good ol' Sega wont bring PSO2 or the upcoming Nova for the Vita stateside...I'm gonna go and cry in the corner now......

Jet Force Gemini. An awesome little gem of game (oops pun) on the N64 in Rare's golden days.
It was a space adventure mix of weaponry (and fish food), evil insect aliens and a flying dog. It had a variety of multiplayer modes and a great soundtrack too. In my eyes it deserved a followup or at least a remake but alas never to be.

Hmm...I think I "mourn" the loss of Psychonauts, Banjo-Kazooie, and Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning most off the top of my head. Admitedly KoA is more a recent loss for me after picking it up in the latest Steam sale, but it was a solid ARPG that did a good job differentiating the classes and allowed you to blend them together a bit. I even liked the premise as a fateless wanderer going around mucking everything up. I feel I don't have to explain my love for the first two games and why not exploring more of those worlds is a tragedy.

Mass Effect 3's multiplayer. It's not exactly dead, but it could be more populated. The multiplayer of the game, I think, is a hidden gem. It's pretty good, but a lot of people dismiss it because they think it would probably be tacked on. I think it's great. There is a lot of strategy to each character and map. But this is one of Bioware's earliest entries to multiplayer, and there are some rookie mistakes. Flawed matchmaking, networking issues, the "pack" system means that 75% of the time you are using the in-game credits, you are getting something that you don't care about, don't want, or just don't need, all of that combined with generally few maps, and free DLCs added MP maps, true, but for some reason, they are rarely played in matchmaking sessions. It really sounds like it would be better with friends, but none of my friends play Mass Effect 3, except for a few, and those that do just hate ME3.

It doesn't help that EA dropped ALL support for the multiplayer component and it generally lacks any cheat protection system, which means cheaters can cheat and no-one will care. I bet one of those days, EA will shut down the game's servers too. Very unfortunate. If whoever reads this has Mass Effect 3 and never really got into the multiplayer, try it out again. It takes some time, but it can be really fun. I just hope DA:I's multiplayer is just as good, if not better.
I loved ME3 multi. There was some much variety. Go in with huge guns or small guns and zap them with your powers. Each power had evolutions that created so much variety, along with the races. I remember the first time completing a platinum level. My heart has never pumped so fast

ZOE3 had some really cool pre-production work done - 3D renders, illustrations - but it was ultimately canceled. I forget when exactly this happened, but I think it was during one of the Phantom Pain/Ground Zeroes interviews that Kojima confirmed it.

Then put me down for ZoE as well, those games where a lot of fun and there needs to be more of them

Ghostbusters The Video Game. Sure it had its problems but it was still a blast to play!
Taking down Stay Puft with 3 other players is still one of the best experiences I had when I first bought my 360 afew years back, shame that'll never happen again :(

Natural Selection 2. It's among the greatest games I have ever played, but for some reason it's dead/dying aside from a few very hardcore fans.

Sadly, those hardcore fans can be less than welcoming to new players. :/

Another one I dearly miss is The Wheel of Time, the FPS. Amazing fps with a stellar multiplayer and an amazing community.

I've been wanting to give Natural Selection 2 a go when I get my new PC. It seems to be the same with alot of games where the hardcore fans can be pretty unforgiving but I think if its possible to set up a server for you and your mates its probably still possible to get some enjoyment out of it :) I've not played the game yet so I ain't sure if that option is avaliable though.

Whether or not a match of Natural Selection 2 is fun depends entirely on how good your commander is, and sadly I find that few people want to play the commander, and even fewer are actually good at it. That's one of the major reasons its dying. Well, that and the fact that everyone always wants to be the aliens.

Bloodrayne, and no, the sidescroller does not count. The second game was beautiful with some nice ragdoll physics and not-bad cinematics. It ended with the main baddie using machines to block out the sun so his underlings could swarm the planet like a sentient plague and humans building Big Daddie-style armored suits to combat vampires and defend children chased by them. In other words, huge, huge cliffhanger.
