And TeamFortress 2. Not necessarily a friend, just someone to teach me how not to suck at it.
I need lessons in not sucking at TF2 as well...

OT: Left 4 dead. My only housemate who qualifies as a gamer doesn't like it. The only person I can play it with is my brother during the holidays. And single player alternates between boring and infuriating

You know, all the people here that mentioned L4D//L4D2 could, you know, start a steam group so they could get together to play, and all that.

Pug games, it's less annoying that you'd think. Keep adding people you had fun with and eventually you'd have a full list of friendly skilled people on your friends list.

Also, play advanced and expert mode. The fact that they're harder tends to be balanced by the fact that the players are better and work as a team more.

Sounds good. Lets choose a name. I propose "Friendless losers who suck at games and have to huddle together with randoms on the internet".

Left 4 Dead and Borderlands, sadly none of my friends play online or play many games at all.

I wish I had friends who were decent at Gears of War 2. I have one or two friends who I can do well with if we have it on like Casual difficulty, and even then, one of them has this nasty habbit of dying right at the beginning of the wave, making me have to complete the wave on my own.

I do have friends to play Left 4 Dead with, but one in particular thinks it's scary for some bizzare reason. The only "scary" part I recall is the Witch, which is diminished a bit when you realize she's highlighted with a bright red spotlight.

Also, my friends are generally not nearly as good at Guitar Hero as I am, making Co-Op difficult.

When I played Left 4 Dead 2 the Demo, nearly all the guys I played with were really nice. Even though I kept dieing they were patient and dealt with it.

Sometimes, 2 people just kept on running around and hitting walls in like, the beginning of the map. The other guy and me had to fight off like a horde of zombies. We died when the other guy got hit by a hunter. I was busy holding the line. I tried to reach him but he died... I was left alone to kill them all. I was then in the "Doom Cover" mode. Dragging as many zombies as possible. I pipe-bombed myself and them.

Being on topic now, practically any Multiplayer game. Multi is supposed to be with other people! And who better to play with then friends!
