It has happened to all gamers. Buying a game that once you place it in your xbox you regret spending the 60 or so (maybe more maybe less) dollars to do so. What incredibally dissapointing games have any of you gamers bought?
For me, it's ps3, and it's Modern Warfare 2. Single player campaign was decent, but the multiplayer made me wish I had just hired it out.
-edit- How could I forget Oblivion: TES IV? The most tedious and flawed game I think I have ever/ever will play.

Prince of Persia and GTA IV

Really bad games. Especially PoP, there was nothing good about it.

Brutal Legend... I hoped it to be good, I really did. It just gets so tiring after not long, and the shallow combat system didn't help much (EPIC soundtrack though)

Deus ex. Boring as hell, terrible voice acting, my brother in the game is an annoying pussy, AI is thick as dog turd, and just a very bad game.

Max Payne 1 + 2: I hate Max Payne as a character, as a series... I don't care if he was one of the first ones to use bulletime... its not like "slow shit down" was THAT much of an interesting concept to begin with.
*Eye twitches*

If you purchased the first, hated it and bought the second game after, you're an idiot friend. Sequels normally don?t change much, as they don?t want to lose what worked in the first place. Be sure to buy Max Payne 3 also so that once again you can be surprised at how you don?t like Max Payne.
Hey, be fair. I actually had to get both for a class. No really, I took a course in video games at my university. And... for some damn reason, the professor wanted us to analyze Max Payne of all things. Silent Hill 2? Pfft... why would we analyze something as thought-provoking as that?

I say you got off lucky. Max Payne (to me) is a wonderful title. Silent Hill 2, a waste of money. Luckily I didn't buy Silent Hill 2.

I just bought that 360 Hellboy game for like $10. I knew it wasn't great, but figured it couldn't be THAT bad.

Dear God, never again.

Evil Dead Regeneration.
I'd never been so dissapointed with a game in all my life.
And more recently Dante's Inferno.
Atrocious game.

Call of Duty 3... WHAT WAS I THINKING *cries*
Had I saved that money back then I could be enjoying one of the newer PS3 releases at the moment.

Red Faction Guerrilla on a Steam sale... My God. Thoughts on what they COULD have done with their destruction engine, coupled with the bland missions, boring storyline, and horrible AI, it's just depressing. The most fun I had in that game was the first 10 minutes I spent bashing that science station at the into to the game. Played for an hour in the "real game" and dropped it.

I research titles myself, or rely on word of mouth, before I make any large purchases, except for that ONE time with Guerrilla. Never assume...

Ahhh a few games for mixed consoles...

Borderlands, Killzone 2, Left 4 Dean 2, Ghostbusters and Operation Flashpoint : DR (which is still in its cellophane wrapping. There is probably a few more that I've spent over £35 on and regretted almost instantly.

Edit: Red Faction Guerilla, Brutal Legend, Saints Row 2, Fallout 3, Ninja Blade, The Orange Box, Wanted: WOF, Star Ocean : TLH, Fifa 10, Tekken 6. (Wow... I've made some pretty stupid choices in my life, but I don't think the number matches how many times I've cocked up buying games.
