Bloody Roar - I don't know ANYONE that's heard of it. The first one absolutely rocked. The later ones not so much.

I loved it. Only because the Mole was INCREDIBLY overpowered. Three slashes and my brother was down.

Puzzle Fighter Turbo II (especially PRE-PSX/XBOX Live) was my favorite game of all time for a majority of my life.

Ren and Stimpy on the SNES (......I found this ridiculously hard as a 7 year old)
Around the World in 80 Days (a LucasArt Story Book game where the "magical interactive paint brushes" help the protagonist)


This FANTASTIC Japanese Ps1 game where its multiplayer (I think 8 people max if you had the extension for the controllers). The basic idea was to not die within the time limit while throwing Rocks/Triangular bombs at people in a variable amount of landscapes (there was a Maoi one where they bit you, one with a LASER robot in the middle and another where a Big Rock turned into a gigantic dinosaur...)


...I thought it was pretty awesome back in the day.

Also a PS1 Japanese running game where you were extremely tiny and ran around things like Toilet Bowls and the Desk of some guy. It was like Katamari minus the rolling.

I wonder if someone here has played worms blast. It is basically a bust-a-move game with a great 2 player versus mode (featuring loads of weapons), and a catchy soundtrack.

Many may have been put off since it really wasn't a "worms" game, but Ive still had so many great moments with it in the multiplayer. I hope it will come on xbox live arcade someday.

I always wanted that game. But when I decided I did want to play it, suddenly the price of it went sky high(?)

Had the 2nd. Loved it. But the 3rd one stank. Cos' once you played DOA2 and Soul Calibur, just about every other fighter felt extremely limited and dated.

Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Father. To this day, I still ask my wife in his goofy 'good old boy' voice, "Tell me about yourself".

Lol, did she play the game with you? That would have been great.

Funnily enough I'm one of the few hard-core adventure gamers that didn't enjoy it quite as much as everyone else did. Fantastic game though, just didn't quite click with me.

Yeah, that game ruled 2-players. The gba version was really good too. I'm considering getting the Dreamcast version at a later date.

Sonic R(racing)?

Yep, I played that to death back in the day. Loved exploring the locations also. I even used to sing to the cheesy songs playing in the background.

Gladius? anyone? sorta like a turn-based gladiator game, except you could get yetis and minotaurs, and meshed loads of mythological creatures together. me and my friend played that together for ages. had a great rock-paper-scissors element. oh and forgot to mention, another Lucas Arts game.

That would be Alice. She was always my favourite (behind Long - shame about the personality but who WOULDN'T wanna turn into a Tiger given the chance?) Bakuryu was the mole, wasn't he? I coulda SWORN he was really old in the first game and yet suddenly turned into some sort of ninja-esque teenager. And since when was FOX a bloke?! I never, EVER knew that till about three months ago!!!

I still have Puzzle Fighter on the PSOne. I originally bought it when it came out, sold it for seventy quid and then bought it again for six quid in Game. I still had the save on my memory card... I loved the little intermissions. They made me howl originally!

NES:
Rockin' Cats. A game where you play a cat in a sweet hat (not unlike that of Yahtzee), toting a gun that fires a fist, to rescue your surprisingly scantily-dressed girlfriend. Had some really clever level design and awesome graphics for the NES.

SNES:
Tiny Toons Wild 'n' Wacky Sports (or Wacky Sports Challenge in the US, I think). Awesome party game with great humor and even greater music.

PS1:
Destrega! My favorite fighting game EVER. It let you fire the most awesomely spectacular Dragonball-esque energy projectiles with a single button press. The environments were large and varied, the controls were about as intuitive as it gets, and the story mode actually had a story that played out as you beat opponent after opponent.
This is pretty much the only game I really miss.

Um Jammer Lammy, the lesser-known sequel to Parappa the Rapper. Great music, great humor, adorable characters.

PC:
Xtreme-G 2. I got it for free with my video card. Everyone bashes it, but to this day I haven't found a game that could provide the same awesome sense of speed.

Megarace 2. The racing itself sucked ass, but the visuals still floor me, and the between-race cutscenes are freaking HILARIOUS.

Descent 1 ][ and 3 - All good games but severely unknown to the gaming community at large. I doubt most people know what a 360DOFFPS is these days...
Little Big Adventure 1&2 - Great games with some great music

I still play Descent 1 & 2. They released some files not too long ago that converts the game into an OpenGL game that allows you to play it on XP and Vista. It runs quite well too. From what I've heard there are still people who play online with Descent 3, though I haven't got that one.

A JRPG that takes every FF game and leaves them in a ditch with no money. Characters you care about, great story with plot twists I actually didn't see coming, epic battle system and magic system and... ah. Wonderful.

But I hate the President of the Adventurers Guild forever. An utterly minor character that makes ol' Oedipal Sephiroth look well-adjusted. Must kill irritating pervert.

If it's what I'm thinking of, I have, and it was BAD. You can get killed by falling acid drops on the ceiling. (Sub-Zero could take an acid spit to the face in MK2 and barely stagger.)

Seiken Densetsu (Secret Of Mana) 3? Never released outside Japan AFAIK. I think I managed to finish it... playing a game where all text was complete nonsense to me was very interesting. I had to invent names for everything and build half the plot myself based on the actions of the characters.

Also, this one seems to be mentioned rarely outside Europe: Terranigma. Not the greatest game, but an interesting story.

Hows about Pet Soccer?
Take the pets from Pet Racer (though I'm not sure why they were pets exactly. Giraffes? As pets? Really?) and put them on some 'wacky' soccer pitches so they can play some 'crazy' soccer.
It did have the advantage of being £0.99 in a GAME store, and had the weirdest referee ever (gotta love that parrot)
Not the greatest game ever though... got a 6.4 on gamespot, which suprised me.

Dr Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine, I've only ever played it on a plug and play sega megadrive rip off, so I don't know how faithful it was to the original, but all I can say is very steep learning curve. First opponent I found easy, then the second one kept on dumping seemingly indestructable beans on me, and I failed every time.

How about Trickstyle anyone?
I have the weirdest feeling now. I want to play trickstyle again...

Genport I/O initialisation failure
Anyone got a clue as to what this means?
