Whether it's games that never got a sequel and/or remake or game series that haven't had a new entry in a long time, list games you'd like to see a follow up on.

For me:

Okami: brilliant design and gameplay as well as writing.

Bloody Roar: I played Bloody Roar 4 first and found I enjoyed it very much. It has quite a unique hook for a fighting game and I'd like to see more of it.

Ninja Gaiden: Really liked the first two Xbox games and hope to play as Ryu as well as Momiji, Rachel and Ayane again.

Godhand: I did enjoy the combat even if the humour wasn't to my taste.

Heavenly Sword: one of Ninja Theory's best games. Maybe a new protagonist this time.

Darkstalkers: I know it's niche, but I do hope Capcom takes another chance on this franchise.

BloodRayne: An interesting idea for a game but could have been executed better.

Honestly can't think of many. The issue is the videogame market is so saturated with sequels and remakes, I think we're good for follow-ups. Sure, I'd like to see more of "x" game... but what I'd enjoy seeing much more is a new IP. That can become something that I like, that I can form an appreciation of. And then demand a follow up to tha...

Well, one problem at a time I guess. Fingers crossed for the dark, gritty reboot of Elevator Action.

More than I can count.

But I'll try:

-Advance Wars (been eight years since we've had an Advance Wars game)

-A Command and Conquer game (and no, Rivals doesn't count)

-A Crash Bandicoot game (not a remake, a new one)

-Dead Space 4 (for obvious reasons)

-Diablo IV (though that's quite likely right now)

-Golden Sun 4 (another four, another cliffhanger that needs resolution)

-Half-Life 3 (not the biggest Half-Life fan, but I wouldn't mind another installment)

-Killzone 5 (though this is actually relatively minor, because it could be argued that Shadow Fall book ends the series well enough)

-Perfect Dark 3 (come on, do something...anything...)

-StarCraft III (very unlikely, but while I thought LotV capped off the series perfectly, the amount of post-LotV stuff kinda demands continuation, so may as well have a game for it)

-Star Fox anything (let's not talk about Zero)

-Warcraft IV (PLEASE!..know it's unlikely but...PLEASE!)

i'd like to see a remake of The Legend of Zelda II: Link's adventure.

it's frequently forgotten by both Zelda fans and by Nintendo so it'd be interesting what a modern day remake of that game would be like. they should give the "Metroid Samus Returns" treatment in other words. that 3DS remake of the original Metroid II return of Samus feels like a completely new Metroid game it's that different to the original game. it'd be nice to see Zelda II get the same treatment.

A new Splinter Cell game. I know people want it to return to hardcore stealth, but for me it was a stealth game I could play with my brain turned off. Its just fun to move so fluidly across the map taking down hapless grunts one by one.

Rogue Trooper, simply because I like the universe it's in.

Hexen or Turok. Hey, it worked for Doom after a lengthy absence. Hexen in particular would benefit from an online co-op mode- I loved the original's co-op.

A new Advance Wars for the Switch continuing the Days of Ruin plotline, with Will slowly growing up into a confident field commander. Also include a mission where the other COs are occupied and Dr. Morris is forced to take command, gaining his own CO power.

A new Front Mission title returning to being a military strategy game, likely eschewing isometric in lieu of full 3D like XCOM.

Not necessarily a new Ninja Gaiden per se, but another extremely tough and bloody skill-focused ninja action game closer to Ninja Gaiden Sigma than the sequels. The name doesn't matter.

A sequel to Bloodborne, my most favorite game of all-time, but only when it's once again directed by the maestro. I know he said he's more interested in new IPs for now(obviously with the trailer for Sekiro) but maybe in the future. The game doesn't necessarily warrant a sequel given it's unique vision but there is still so much potential left in the world they created. There is simply nothing else like it.

Prepare to be further disappointed by the cool ideas the devs had for DS4 before EA canned them.

I'm aware of the plans for Dead Space 4. That makes it all the more disappointing. Even if by some miracle the IP is revived, it won't be by Visceral. :(

Yeah, though I already think the series went downhill with DS3 by adding co-op. It also didn't really have much of the creepy atmosphere of it's predecessors. My favorite is DS2, it had the atmosphere of DS1 but improved the combat quite a bit. In DS1 it was quite floaty with necromorphs feeling like they were made of paperfigures but DS2 was like Resident Evil 4 in space. Making DS2 probably the second best TPS in my opinion.

EA don't care anymore about making quality single-player games so I only see the IP resurfacing as either a multiplayer FPS with as many lootboxes and microtransactions as possible or a simple smartphone game with similar gambling properties.

Splinter Cell. C?mon, Ubisoft; we?ve got enough Ass Creeds already; Sam Fisher needs dusted off.

Prototype. First one was brilliant fun. Second one, not as great, but still fun. Then? nothing?

Tiger Woods PGA Tour. Feels kinda weird actually wanting anything from EA, but the last game with Rory McIlroy was just an insult given the franchise was pretty damned good up to that point.

Burnout. Revenge was fantastic, then they took out everything fun about it and made Paradise, then they shit-canned the whole franchise.

There was a SNES platformer called Actraiser that had a good mix of platforming combat and city management where you play as God trying to rebuild the world. The first one was one of my favorites growing up, but the sequel was lackluster due to a combination of the city management going away and the combat being a lot more stiff, making it harder not because of tough enemies or environments, but because you can't control the guy nearly as well. I'd like to see a proper sequel to it where they focus more on the strengths of the first game. Heck, the second game actually had an interesting concept in that we were fighting demons that were the personifications of the Seven Deadly Sins, I'd like to see that done in a better game.

And while we're on the subject of SNES games, I wouldn't say no to UN Squadron 2.

I think you mean Timesplitters 4. Unless another trilogy of games came out without my knowledge where you deal with chunks of temporal wood lodged in your foot.

Would love to see a prequel game set in the war of the magi though. Imagine it; a bunch of humans get forcibly taken away from their families and transformed into Espers by the Warring Triad to fight on their side, but they gradually come to realize that the real enemy isn't the other two armies of Espers they are being told to destroy, and secretly form a pact to break free of the Triad's control over them.

On a similar note, a prequel to Final Fantasy X set in the Machina War between Bevelle and Zanarkand, featuring young Zaon, Yunalesca, Yu Yevon, Shuyin and the progenitors of the Guado and Ronso species.

Well, you already mentioned Okami. That about sums it up.
I guess Silent Hill to some degree but I wouldn't trust anybody with it anymore.

I really want a new Grandia game, or for a new JRPG using the Grandia combat system.

It's my favorite turn based combat system in the genre and I've never really seen it used outside the Grandia series, except for that one time with Child of Light.

I wouldn't want/trust modern Square-Enix to get within 30 miles of Final Fantasy VI... unless it's the people who made Octopath Traveler.

Interestingly, Inti Creates has recently expressed interest in doing a remake of Zelda II. I'd very much like to see how a remake from them would turn out.

Only one of you mentioned Bloodborne?! Oh gentlemen, gentlemen, I am disappointed. Bloodborne is the clear answer.

Special mention should go to Bioshock Infinite, Space Marine and South Park the Stick of Truth. I know they did that other one, but it was shit, blatant DLC walled off areas, and wasn't half as long or as deep as the first one.

Mostly this. At this point I'm actually afraid of any franchise I enjoy getting a follow up because I expect it to be destroyed by corporate meddling.

I'm gonna dive deep into some old games probably nobody cares about anymore but....

I really wouldn't mind if Jordan Mechner finally made a sequel to the Last Express. While it wouldn't have the awesome setting of the Orient Express, there were a lot of plot threads kind of left hanging that would have been nice to get answers to.

Loom(from old school lucasarts) ended with the universe effectively split in two to keep the newly released dead from devastating the whole thing. It was originally envisioned as a trilogy, but since the other two games were never made, we're left with a hell of an apocolypse cliffhanger.

Monkey Island 2 ends with a rather Bizarre ending and Curse of Monkey Island (THe next game in the series) handwaved a bunch of it. Ron Gilbert has said his version of Monkey Island 3 would have been a lot different if he had still be working there at the time and apparently he's been trying to buy the Monkey Island rights from Disney so he can make his vision of MI3.

As much as I hate to say it, I really would have liked a DLC or mega patch to fix some of big problems with ACT II of MGSV, instead of effectivly finishing the plot at the end of ACT I and ACT II is mostly filler with no real resolution(other then why Quiet never shows up anywhere else). There would have been a lot of other issues with the game, but at least there would have been some kind of ending("The Man who sold the world" doesn't really count as one).

XIII, for one, that's a no brainer. Let's pop a mission select screen in this time though, hey guys?

Timesplitters 4 and a true Battlefront sequel have already been brought up, as they should.

I'd like a Codename Eagle sequel actually- since DICE completely failed at providing an authentic WW1 experience, they may as well just Codename Eagle it up again.

And isn't it about time for a new, proper Pilotwings?
