1. Keep in mind that BioWare has made RPG's for PC and consoles with a LOT more hardware than a DS. And again, Indie developers don't have deadlines to deal with (and the majority of Indie mobile games are never-ending puzzle games).
2. Yet the story is the exact same.
3. Um, yeah it does.
4. You mean the cliffhanger that perfectly sets up a sequel that WILL come? You mean the cliffhanger that BREAKS THE FOURTH WALL for shits and giggles? I don't see how that is a problem. BioWare will make a sequel.
5. So you'd prefer to just sit there and WATCH the final battle than take part in it? Keep in mind that if you screw up the QTE's YOU LOSE.
1) Well obviously, but a little padding out would be nice.
2) What's that got to do with anything at all?
3) Well, I expect a DS game to use the Touch Screen, but it doesn't need a Touch Screen gimmick. I think a straightforward TBS RPG would have been fine, there was no need for those QTEs.
4) I had to watch the last cutscene again to refresh my memory of this Breaking of the Fourth Wall, and I fail to understand how exactly it does. I don't see any confirmation of a sequel either.
5) Well, an interactive cutscene obviously. If your entire fight is a QTE, then make it interesting instead of just having one camera angle for the whole thing. I always wanted a battle between Super ####### and Super Bad Guy at the end of a Sonic game, but this seems to be a case of 'Be careful what you wish for because you just might get it', as this is just about as far from my vision as it gets.
If you want Yahtzee to review Sonic Chronicles, he's going to hate on it.
