Arizona Sunshine on the Oculus Quest, campaign mode. Short by non VR standards but a unique experience for me. Especially when playing on line with my soon to be nephew in law. You basically use a variety of weapons in a number of western environments to shoot hordes of zombies in VR.

I haven't the faintest clue what I was playing beyond the past few weeks.

I just finished Subnautica Below Zero last night. It's kinda a more half assed Subnautica. I'd only recommend it to people who absolutely really must have more Subnautica in their lives. Otherwise if you've never experienced either game, just play the first.

Ender Lilies I finished two-ish weeks ago? The passage of time is lost on me. Fun metroidvania experience. It's not perfect, there's a bit of jank and the contact damage is obnoxious but it's overall quite well made and quite fun.

I did finish EDF5 solo before that. Good fun. Wouldn't mind doing it all again with my friends in tow.

And that's all that my Steam's Recently Played list is giving me.

Spider-man: Miles Morales
Final Fantasy 7: Remake
Persona 5 Strikers
Trails of Cold Steel
South Park: The Stick of Truth

Yeah, that seems right. Mind you, Miles Morales and South Park are both pretty short and I was halfway through Trails of Cold Steel already, so probably not that impressive if I think about it.

Hitman 3, Cyber Shadow, Ys 9, Nier Automata, Nier Replicant, RE Village, Little Nightmares 2, Nioh 1 remastered, Mass Effect 1 remastered, SMT3 Nocturne HD, Scarlet Nexus, Tales of Berseria and replays of Bloodborne and DkS3. Quite a few other games still 'in progress'. Was kinda looking forward to playing Fuga Melodies of Steel this weekend but it got pulled off PSN for the time being b/c of incorrect price listing. curses.

Yeah, I'm kind of surprised it's that many too. I guess it's mostly down to working from home basically giving me an extra 2 hours of time each day, and cuz of the whole covid social distancing we haven't left the house much, aside from the occasional family visit. So al that free time was pretty much spent on either playing games, watching series/movies, or, eh, passionate hugging.

Can't believe I forgot these, as they were coop games with the wifey, but I also beat
Haven
It Takes Two

both really fun couples games. Not too hard, fun, light hearted, great for introducing a sig other to gaming, or something that won't make the two of you go at each other's throats.

The only reason i have so many done this year is because of the two months i spend almost dead. Turns out sick leave gives you a lot of video game time consider it hurt too much to do anything else.

Any good? Comes up frequently when recommending metroidvanias.
I thought it was good. The actual gameplay elements worked fine, and I enjoyed the puzzles that arose from using the toolset.
The developer cites Metroid Fusion, a metroidvania with a more linear format, as a direct inspiration. If I compare it with the other metroidvanias I've played, (Supermetroid, Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance, Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow) I think the difference is that while the various maps connect they are rather self-contained and at various instances in the plot it more or less says: "Now you get to play around on this map until you reach the next plot point". Afterwards the maps are freely explorable and you get to go back again. If you want to.
Speaking of the story... I've watched various youtube videos and read up online to actually figure out what the plot was. It threw too much at me to keep track of, and in several scenes it alludes to but spells not outright out what the situation is. This kept me at arm's length from the story. Since plenty of others have talked positively about the story I wonder if I'm just an oddball, but I suspect I would have had a better time if I adapted the mantra of jumping to conclusions whenever the game talks around a subject.
Other than that: I think it's the boss battles where the game truly shined.
