Has anyone here just stopped playing a game and never played it again? It could be unfairness, boredom, anything really. For me it was Brutal Legend with the fight against Ophelia, bloody Reapers.

Most recently, Mass Effect 2.

Got to the planet where light hurts, just stopped playing. I'm not dying or anything. I just stopped playing is all. Literally at the spawn point for arrival on the planet.

Before that: Final Fantasy 1-12.

I like 'em.

But once I get the airship, I get all sidetracked and shit...

Metal Gear Solid 4 because I have beaten it like 5 times already and no longer have any interest in playing it.

Condemned 2. I reached the boat, died, raged and simply lost interest.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma. I reached the final boss at the top of a tall tower, wasting my potions on the way, only to realise that I couldn't beat the boss without more potions and that I couldn't go back to buy more... Since I needed potions for that too... I guess I'm just bad.

GTA San Andreas, out of boredom, at least six different times...
As of now I'm back to modding it, but I keep deleting and reinstalling it...
Supreme Commander I stopped playing awhile ago...It was fun, and it had everything I wanted in an RTS game, but for some reason I stopped having fun.
Plus as much as I want to get back into it I can't since GPG won't let me log on with my old account...

My Wii games except SSBB , No More Heroes and No More heroes 2 because most of them are party games that are boring to play by myself

COD4. I got sick and tired of trying to survive the onslaught at the ferris wheel with nothing but a slow firing sniper rifle. I finally finished the mission and thats the last I played it and, frankly, I was so frustrated I launched the controller a couple times. I never want to be that frustrated again. I sold the used game and deleted my save data. Done.

Recently : Battlefield Heroes, Demigod, NHL10, L4D 1-2.

Notably, in the past : Final Fantasy 7-8-9-10-12...

All those games I was really enjoying, but whenever I end up not having time to play a game for a while, I lose interest/track of my progress and just plain stop playing.

Dragon Age, if I don't play it again really soon, will suffer the same fate.

On a positive note, I picked up FF8 again, after years of it sitting on a shelf. I'll go all the way this time, I promise. I seriously can't remember what was the last game I finished, besides Neverwinter Nights (and expansions).

"The Orange Box" I beat portal, half-life 2 and played team fortress 2 until my wireless router died (I still haven't fixed it) and I stopped in the middle of "Half-life 2 episode:1" because I wanted to play fallout 3 and I took a break from that after I got Bayonetta, so I'm pretty behind on games lately.

Most recently Dragon Age, It was a lot of fun for about 40 hours, then I just lost interest. I also never managed to finish Morrowind.

All RPG's. I find they have very little replay value. Oblivion, The Witcher, those sort of things. Actually, really I've stopped playing everything except a current "Phase" about a year ago it was CoD4, then C&C Generals, at the moment it's Battlefield 2, but I think I'm fading out of that again. What's next I wonder. Perhaps back to Medieval Total War II, but hopefully I'll be in the fed. police by then, so gaming will pretty much cease to matter.

Civilization: revolution, once you tasted a real civ game that console port(if you can call it that) just didn't do it for me. I played through several games with several different leaders totaling just over 8 hours... which is nothing compared to civ 3&4 where i've put in something close to a hundred hours if not more.
