Squall Leonheart and Juste Belmont.
Squall was relatable for me when I was in my mid teens, and this was when I first played the game. His loneliness and inability to rely on other people is something I was experiancing at the time.
As for Juste Belmont, he's a lot like what I am now. A person who strongly believes in his friends and is willing to make amends with them because he believes they are capable of more.

Postal Dude: sarcastic, somewhat bitter, and gnerally laid back. His goals rarely stretch beyond his shopping list.
Point Man (fear)
Gordon Freeman: Despite his mute nature I can hear him mummbling things about how he should have been a dermatologist, or anything else. I however can not abide his lack of attention to Alyx Vance who is actively showing an increased sign of emotional attachment to him. OH and don't give me that "I'm Asexual crap!". She seems to be the ONLY attractive woman left alive, now pull your head out of ur HEV suit and make a move!
Characters who i don't relate with:
Leon: Ok he's ridged and a classic american action hero. The most one can expect from him is alittle predictable wit from time to time. Oh and to cap him off, is the fact that he didn't accept the mating call of the presidents HOT DAUGHTER!!! after all this shit, after me saving her ass time and again, the least he could do is bang her! I mean, how ungrateful can a guy be! I carried his slow walking ass through this entire village of freaks, the least he can do is take a girl to bed! OH NO WAIT, he's trying to get the unattainable "action hero" chick! Sure sh- I digress.
Oh and we can all agree we relate with kratos, because we've all had one of those "fuck you" days
