Is there anyone out there that has the good fortune of playing video games with their boyfriend/girlfriend?

I recently beat the co-op campaign of Halo with my boyfriend and we've been playing online a bit together here and there. I know a lot of people talk about how to get their significant other to accept their gaming habits, but I wonder how many of you guys out there actually have the other participate?

We usually play zombie games together like RE5 and L4D but things like Halo and Modern Warfare aren't left out of the mix either.

Can you suggest any good games to play together? What do you like to do?

My Girlfriend likes to watch me play videogames, especially KillZone 2 if I'm drunk online and therefore performing poorly and throw fits claiming the shots aren't registering, but she doesn't partake with me.

Any 2-player me or my boyfriend get, we usually play it together it at least once. At the moment we've got an intense in-game rivalry going on in Smackdown vs Raw 2011.

I don't have a significant other at the moment, but I do love playing with someone I care so deeply about. I substitute a lack of boyfriend/girlfriend with close friends. Bless them.

I would say, sample anything that claims to have a co-op feature. I don't exactly know what genre of games you guys are into, but maybe Resident Evil 5? A lot of people hate on that game, but it is kinda fun when you're not dragging around the AI.

Borderlands as well, perhaps? Not sure if co-op works on the same console, given that I've never tried it, but if you both have the same console you could always have something of a LAN party going on?

Rhythm/music-based games are always good for a laugh, especially when alcohol is involved. Rock Band and Guitar Hero are my preferred titles; Guitar Hero for peripherals, Rock Band for vocals. If that sounds like it's your thing, check out the set lists and see which one takes your fancy more. ^_^

The husband and I play co-op a lot, because usually I become unmotivated and stop playing a game halfway through.
It made RE5 a lot harder, not having the bot computer telling you where to go/what to shoot all the time. We also played a LOT of Star Wars Battlefront II together. Even if he's playing a single-player game, I enjoy cuddling up beside him and watching. Heck, its what got me into the Metal Gear series.
We were really disappointed that Resistance 2 cut the co-op campaign. :\

My girlfriend and I play WoW together, and it's quite a bit of fun. I've tried to do FPS's with her, but they're a bit too frenetic for her.

If I had another xbox/copy of Fable III I'd play co-op with her; we really enjoy our RPGs together.

I like having company too. My boyfriend will sit and watch me play Fallout 3 a lot of the time. :)

Me and my wuvly wady like to get together and multiplay it up on occasion.

I'm not renowned in my social circle for a love of multiplayer games and my girlfriend tends to enjoy games better when she's not tempted to punch someone sitting next to her for fucking up for the 70th time.

But for us we've really found a seriously surprising level of enjoyment come from co-oping on games.

I've even seen it breathe new life into games I'd previously lost all interest in.

The games we play are as follows:
'Splosion Man.
Fable2+3.
Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. The Game.
Beautiful Katamari.

I honestly think it's improved our... For lack of a better word insynchness...
(I'll suffer for that one, for the missus has just seen it...)

Because we seem to understand what we're doing without really having to verbally express intention.

We know how to move the camera in Fable to suit eachother's playing style, we roll things coop-style in Katamari without saying anything (which for those who've played a coop katamari game, you know how difficult that can be)

We're just very much tuned in to eachother.

oh...hell, um. Me and my girlfriend look for things to play together. We generally play:

L4D
Doom
Sacred 1 (haven't gotten to 2 yet)
Diablo 2
and Civilization 4

So far we've had the most fun with Doom and Sacred :p We also play WoW, but not so much anymore.

I can't play competitively with her though (I win. <<), So I'm always looking for coop games for us :X (I have a large list we haven't gotten around to yet XD)

Used to play Wow with my wife, raid and instance runs.
We both quit around the same time, so now we play New Super Mario Brothers Weeheeheee every now and then.

But she cba to try any co-op I find for my ps3. Claims its nothing more than shooting things in the face, and ,well, she might be right about that. Anyone know a good PS3 game with CO-OP that isnt all about shooting Zombies in the face?

I hate, HATE, [HEADING=2]LOATHE[/HEADING] the assumption that we all have romantic partners in these threads. Are you really that satisfied with making me feel like a loser? If you're such hot stuff that you can get a romantic partner, why don't you spend a little more time with them, and stop talking about it on the internet?
Woah, woah. Chill, no need to go ballistic.

I know how you feel, but you don't see me taking it out on the poster. I'm sure they didn't mean to offend.
