Gaming Cross-Overs You'd Like To See.

Who doesn't love a good cross-over game? So long as it's executed well, at least...

Anyways, just as the topic's title suggests: this topic is about tossing out ideas for gaming franchise cross-overs that you'd like to see. And while I'd love to see another AvP game, such a suggestion like that won't count seeing as how it's an already established cross-over. Make it something interesting!

Like, how about a StarCraft-WarCraft cross-over? A group of Terrans crash-land on Azeroth after engaging a Protoss Fleet who had tracked a Cerebrate (if those are even still around, don't know, I haven't played SCII) to the fantasy-based world of orcs and humans and elves and trolls. :3

Ok, it's not the most brilliant idea in the world but you get the picture. Doesn't even necessarily have to be two games of the same genre.

How about crossing Resident Evil with Mario Kart-styled racing?

Super Smash Bros.: Nintendo vs. Sega ! THIS is how the 16-bit console wars should've ended; a battle royale between both companies greatest and most obscure characters! But alas, the crossover we get instead is the much less epic Sonic and Mario at the Olympic Games series.

Red Dead Redemption setting/mechanics crossed with Star wars universe (either bounty hunter or smuggler style character)

Republic Commando gameplay/story style crossed with L.A. Noire setting (potentially 4 player co-op detective team)

SpecOps The line story style/writing crossed with Thief's time period and weaponry & Mirrow's edge parkour

This one actually exists. It's called Itadaki Street Special on the PS2. Unfortunately, it was only released in japan.

Anyway, my favourite crossover idea already happened. There were Monster Hunter missions in Metal Gear Solid: Peacewalker.

Well, I've got a habit of writing stories for myself since I've always got ideas running through my head, especially concerning games, and how I would've written them. And a lot of times crossovers tend to be the perfect fit for the needed changes and/or fixes.

First up: Mass Effect meets Metal Gear Solid. What I've worked out so far writes the Reapers out of existence, and instead focuses on a "cold war" between the Human Alliance and the Turian Hierarchy, stemming from the humans integration of both the Krogan and Quarian races into the Alliance (for obvious reasons). Cerberus (in a nutshell) is pretty much the Patriots reborn (pre-AI), with the Geth (remade into a more SkyNet styled foe) being a significant plot point in the whole mess. Lots of political intrigue and what-not. Ghost in the Shell is kind of a major influence as far as story telling goes.

Technology is also a major focus (this is where MGS comes in), with each race having developed along "similar" but very different paths. Human Technology is based off what Kojima created in the MGS 'verse, so lots of cybernetics and heavy use of Metal Gear style mobile platforms ranging in different sizes, from large units like Rex/Ray to smaller "battle armor" units, with a special prototype unit available to the main protagonist that kind of ended up as an Ironman suit (minus the flying ability). Still working out the other races technological paths (not quite happy with what I got so far so still need to tweek some more), but they're influenced by other sci-fi films and or shows so you can probably guess based on each races preferences in the original ME games and be at least half right.

Sheesh. Trying to keep that condensed is a pain in the ass, so I'll just stop there. I'll post the other later.

Gotta agree with you on that one. Space Vampire vs Ridley sounds like it'd be a fun fight.

Halo and Metroid, not sure how it would work, but it would be awesome.

A new original game made to be like Smash Bros. featuring Nintendo characters. I'm surprised that has not happened yet. Super Smash Kart, Party, something original etc.

Halo and Battlefield/Star Wars Battlefront. The Halo universe is perfect for that type of game, why couldn't they make that instead of an RTS?

Mario and Sonic platformer, not Olympic games or racing games, I mean a true platforming game.
