Are the ones talking about the stuff they've broken the same people that say gaming doesn't cause aggression and is a magical medium that cures all disease and improves brainpower tenfold?

Because damn, this thread does not help you maintain that bubble of perfection.

OT: No, I don't get angry enough to break things, because I have enough sense to know that it's just a game.

I never ever break my gaming gear. For one thing my computer costs about 4000 dollars. Another if I broke my Wife's Xbox she would probably divorce me. I do swear a lot though and scream. Apparently its funny.

I recall one time playing a James Bond game where I had to save the bond girl from falling to her death. I just couldn't seem to get to her in time. So I started screaming, pointing out the fact that he just gets a new one anyway so why should I bother?

Never damaged any of my gear, especially out of rage. Seems pointless, you know? Breaking what you bought because some fucker is spawn camping you.

Never destroyed anything out of anger. However when I got a DS Lite I decided to smash my fatty DS with my life sized Buster Sword purely for fun. It snapped in half from the first blow, and I had to spend the next 5 minutes trying to pry my sword from the ground because of how deep it went into the dirt.

The point of this thread isn't as all it seems. Some may think that this might be about children and violence in video games. Its not. The question is, what damage have you done to accessories, i.e. controllers headsets ect ect, because of frustration from a game. Mine is 1 controller, 2 headsets and a MW2 disk from me 'accidentally' knocking my Xbox. What kind of damage have you done to your possessions out of frustration and from which game?
After a particularly aggressive and unsatisfying session of playing with Monty Mole, I once tried to yank off a particularly stiff joystick for the C64. (Yes, that's "YANK" off, you dirty-minded people.)

Anyway, long story short, I ended up spraining my wrist.

I broke a gamecube controller out of sheer frustration at the AI cheapness in WWE Day of Reckoning 2.

I think my Guilty Gear X case is cracked from when i threw the controler down on it after getting pannel beat on a cheap story mode fight.

Everything else that's broken peripheral wise has been from overuse &/or due to the peripheral in question being cheap 3rd party crap.

My Sega Genesis game controllers were victims of child abuse (because Classic Sega Hard was too 'hardcore' for those kids born in the late 90's). I had three functional Sega controllers and now I'm down to one and that one is a bit glitchy.

The Lion King caused so many kids to rage quit in my house because they believed they were getting a movie-based game that sucked; DEAD WRONG!

Was there anything that "The Lion King: Video Game" couldn't do?

...HD REMAKE!!

None, even when I have been killed a dozen times. I just growl in frustration. It's annoying when people do destroy gaming equipment. Why? Instead of being simply frustrated with a game, now you have to go and buy a new accessory or game, idiot. God forbid I ever let someone like that play some of my precious games, I'd probably end up breaking every bone in their body. No irony intended.

The worst i've done is i wiped my wood floor with the orange box disk because of that fucking strider battle near the end of Half-life 2. Still works perfectly though, i think it actually works better. It used to make an awful crackling noise.

I also, on a seperate occasion, threw the box across the room because i couldn't get past the part where you're running through the city sewers to get to Eli's lab early in the game.

I am a calm guy... I don't take my anger out on objects. So I have never destroyed anything from being angry.

I punched a hole in my chest of draws due to COD. God I hate that game...What? Battlefield 3 is being released soon? Screw you Activision!
Battlefield 3 is being published by EA, not Activision...Battlefield is COD's competition.

OT: I'm great at controlling my anger, so nothing.

The most of I've done is slam my controller down, but always on a soft surface like a pillow or a couch. I usually just scream out and turn the game off if I'm on the console, or alt+f4 if I'm on my PC

Broke my hand playing Soul Calibur 4. Yes. I did. I got my ass handed to me by Sophitia, and in a fit of rage stood up to pull the disk out, tripped over a shoe and busted my hand attempting to save the controller from being smashed to bits.
Other damage from games... tons of cheap mice bashed to bits from Counterstrike games back in the day, as well as Starcraft 1 matches where I accidentally selected my reserve battle force for a frontal assault and got creamed...
All in all about 5 keyboards (1 from Dr. Pepper spills after celebrating a Quake 2 victory on Sewer 64 and winning a new Video Card at a LAN and the others from mashing keys a bit too hard) more mice than I can remember, a few NES controllers due to bad platformers and a pretty solid TV screen, 1 CDROM drive that burned out from playing Diablo 1 for 66 hours straight, and various other damages.

Oh...too many Xbox 360 controllers to count. Four? Five now? I lost count. I tend to get angry at games, especially on an "off" day.

I've lost (as in gone missing, not broken) a wireless headset. I threw it in rage, and it bounced off the wall, behind my TV stand. A few days later, when I decided I needed it again, I went to look and it was gone. Haven't seen it since.

I've borked several keyboards, from rage. Slam them enough and keys start to pop off, or the casing will crack. I've broken a mouse too, but that was from normal wear and tear.

I've never broken a game though. Not out of rage, or on accident. I've had games that have stopped working after a while, usually carts, but that and game consoles are the two things I never even think of harming.
