Gaming features which you want to subvert

Are there any typical cliches or tropes within games which should be subverted?

The deagle or large revolver being the most powerful, most accurate pistol, for one... I'd like a game which flips that on its head and makes them the crappiest weapons. I think they're so boring, which is why I usually go for a more modest pistol. It's funny to see people get pissed off because they got killed by a mid-range headshot from a USP or P228.

Quick time events, if they count as a trope. My skill should be tested through actual gameplay, not through my split second reflexes.

Especially annoying if its a second playthrough. I was good, I watched your cutscenes once. Now, I want to skip them.
