Trying to get the Celestial Weapons on Final Fantasy X was a pain in the arse. The thunder dodging one for Rikku's sigil made me want to kill myself.

Mirror's Edge is the game that has been frustrating me the most recently. The hard difficulty curve is insane. Trying to get the trophy for "may i have this dance" was repetitive. But I got it in the end. Now I'm working on collecting the bags.

And you're supposed to make it through a level without taking a single bullet. Now I know she can run fast, and would give the Prince Of Persia a run for his money. But Faith is not "The One". I tried and got tired of it.

Resident Evil 4 mercs can get under my skin too.

I'm surprised no one mentioned Dead Rising. Playing that game on a standard T.V. was so annoying. I never had any clue what was going on cause I couldn't read the text cause it was so tiny and blurry. I eventually bought a HDTV but I got so frustrated with the game on my old telly, I had lost interest in it.

Any and all rythm games.

I get extremely frustrated with those fraggers. The last two years with everybody raving on about Guitar Hero and Rock Band have been hell for me. They're boring to watch and annoying to play.

Kingdom Hearts made me want to shove my playstation down one of the retarded disney characters throats. Sephiroth actually made me commit seppuku with the controller.

Ninja Gaiden on the xbox. It took me about a year to beat it because it would piss me off and then I would quit for a while, come back and get pissed again. I love the game and can now go though it on hard in an afternoon.

There's probably been worse situations but a recent one was GTA 4. I played that game like two weeks and then the game just got broken at the last mission. It started having strange glitches and ultimately I couldn't do it at all. I was so angry about it that I just deleted the game from my computer right away and let it be. Maybe I could have tried to check if other people had similar problems or something but I just didn't want to touch the game anymore.

Patapon...I don't know if it's just me (probably is) but it's just too dam hard after the initial few missions that get you used to the controls. I just gave up on it after a while and went back to good old Loco Roco.

Any racing game you care to name, the latest Tomb Raiders for frustrating camera issues, and button mashing fighters with absolutely no skill needed. And CoD4's online play simply because beginners are normally paired up with sugar packet downing 12 year olds.

Ninja Gaiden II. So many controller-throwing moments, and it's really not my genre of 'expertise'. Managed to finish it though... on Warrior mode.

Didn't even try booting up the harder difficulties.

Most recently, trying to tolerate the campaign of Resistance 2. Even on normal, death is pretty common, and I'm an experienced shooter gamer. Oh, and it's missing the fun. That hurts too. Online is good though =D

Elite Beat Agents.
After much trial and tribulations, I beat the game on medium, only to unlock the "Sweatin" difficulty, being the glutton for punishment I am, I play through it, and after over 5 months I beat the insanely hard "Jumpin' Jack Flash level." I was ready for joyous praise for being one of the few Godly Humans who can defeat the game on "Sweatin" mode, instead I am told there is an even harder difficulty, one no Human can beat, I nearly cried.
Did you get to the Jumpin' Jack Flash on the hardest difficulty? Miss twice in a row and it's game over.

For me, definitely the Special world in Super Mario World (I really hate the Tubular level).

The last couple of bosses on Ninja Gaiden II made me rip strands of my hair from my head. I wish I was fucking joking.

Fighting Shao Kahn in UMK3 and at the end of Shaolin Monks. He has some of the cheapest moves ever.
Raining Blood on GH3
The General Diego level on Red Dead Revolver.

All I can think of for now.

It's a hard game indeed. You're supposed to grind the hunting mission over and over or something, I think.

I made it 'till a part where the priestess gets kidnapped, and you have to save her. The level has the bad guys (forgot their names, it's been a while) carry the priestess away in a cart of some sorts, and you have to catch up and wreck the chariot before the cart reaches the end of the level.

Thing is, you can't use fire spears, or the cart will be set on fire, thus killing the priestess. So I downgrade to weaker weapons. Then I went to have another go at it. OK. You need the water miracle, else your entire army gets slaughtered by desert volcanoes popping up. Third attempt, I made it past the eruptions... but the bad guys reached the end of the level, with the chariot still intact.

I've lost count of how many times I've tried it. I've been in Fever mode for the ENTIRE level, chucking all my spears at it, using the water miracle to douse the desert eruptions (but you lose your fever mode when you do it), and they STILL reached the end of the level before I could wreck the damn cart.

Then I raged. Fuck this.

I thinks Its the second level in Halo 3 where the enemy is attacking your base. I decided to ramp it up to legendary difficulty and put on all the skulls except the restart if you die and bash to get health back and the blind skull. Anyway I come to this place where they are roughly 10 brutes and a champion brute with a gravity hammer. After you walk into the room the doors shut behind you and all the brutes try and charge you. After about 5 tries
I made carted a stockpile of weapons into the room and managed to kill all of them besides the champion one. That guy is freaking invincible. Sticky grenades pounce off him, If you get close to him he kills you instantly with his gravity hammer, and when you get him close to death he uses invincibility and becomes immune to damage for about 20 seconds. Needless to say it was a complete was of 3 hours and I never did manage to kill him.

Final Fantasy VII, Fighting Ruby weapon. I don't know how many times I retried that fight, before I finally figured out how to beat him.

Or Left 4 Dead on Expert, When the AI decides he's bored, Sends the Horde after you, with a witch in the path; a smoker appears behind the witch, and pulls Louis(it's always Louis) into her. I cry.

Other then that, I don't get to frustrated with games... only other gamers.
It IS always Louis isn't it? My GOD I thought it was just me.

You think Valve attempted to make it true to horror film formula and made the Director make every effort to ensure the black guy always dies first?

When I'm playing COD4 multiplayer and I just end being killed by grenade spam. Know how I know it's spam? The replay shows that the guy clearly just hurled it over a building, cleared the roof, likely five seconds after he spawned.

As to a legitimate challenge that can be overcome(because nothing will stop a guy from randomly hurling grenades over buildings), getting through the TV station in COD4.

Seriously, nothing gave me more problems than that. I had to take it slow, deliberate, it turned into a serious slugfest where I probably traversed half the room in order to avoid the five grenades that would be hurled at me every time I decided to stop moving.
