me and my friends would sometimes have nights were we would play MW2 splitscreen and have a few beers. my other friend who is not much of gamer was left out so i said come and play and see if you like it. naturally we gave him an LMG with steady aim to get him started and he actually enjoyed it
so hes at university now and he said he was bored between lectures and going to bars. so i recommend he find someone in his building with a PS3, he replied "we dont have PS3s/Xboxs because we are geeks"
what a strange turn of events, if that was a few years ago the gamer would be considered a geek not the non gamer. especially since he implied the reason for being a geek was that he wasnt a gamer.
i think the reason is that games are now alot more social, you can watch a movie with your friends for 2 hours which isnt really engaging or you could have a few rounds of MW2 which is more competitive and fun. when theres nothing on TV why not text a few friends and squad up on BC2 for an hour its much more interactive.
