So, recently I was prescribed Nuvigil (Armodofanil) for ADHD. I started taking it the first day of our family vacation two weeks ago. Because of this, I was unable to play any video games other than the Pokémon White that I brought with me.
Over the course of the vacation, I noticed that I was more alert during the day than I have ever been in my lifetime. Though, at times, while walking and not training my eyes on something, I did notice that I got a bit dizzy.
Anyway, I am home now and wanted to get back to playing the games that I was unable to play while on vacation. I booted up WoW for the first time in two weeks, patched, and waited out Tuesday maintenance with excitement. When I finally was able to get in the game, I noticed that, as I started moving around in the game, my head began to hurt. I felt slightly lightheaded and dizzy. This went on until I stopped moving.
I've noticed this in a few other games, though, Pokémon seems to be the only one where I don't feel this sense of vertigo.
I don't want to stop playing games, but I don't believe that that is a very good reason to stop taking this medicine either. Has anyone ever experienced such a thing? And what did you do to help it?
Any other suggestions are appreciated.
(If this needs to be moved to off-topic, do so. I felt it was gaming related enough, but I may have been wrong.)
