Those high-performance parts can get cranky often
Cooling, cooling, cooling. It's not the hardware you have to worry about, it's the drivers for it.

Wait, so you're saying... in a video card with 500 shader units the possibility of one of them to fail is not more than, say, in a card with 4 of them? That is the rule of nature - the more complex the stuff, the sooner it dies.

Just do yourself a favor and get a nice warranty.

Gaming laptop is an oxymoron. You'd be better off getting a desktop as people have said. You could probably build a pretty good gaming desktop and have enough left over to get a netbook so you have something portable (yeah you won't be playing games on it but who uses laptops for gaming anyways? It'll give you portable net, word processing, etc.).

Whatever you do stay away from Dell, Alienware, HP, and Gateway. You might want to check out MSI, Asus and Toshiba. I've never owned any of those so I can't back that up with personal experience but I've heard good things about all three.

http://www.newegg.com and build it yourself! It will surpass anything you can get pre-built for the same price.

The only thing I buy pre-built is Laptops because I cant make it myself yet.

But check these reviews out

First off, the alienware weighs 22 lbs? Cuz that's what 10kg is and that's rather doubtful.
Exaggerated, sorry.

Second off, alienware is a ripoff. I found this on cyberpowerpc for almost 1500: http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/Xplorer_X6-9900_Notebook/ . Way better than the specs you posted.

No.
Alienware hasn't been anywhere near decent for years, and it's not even Alienware anymore. It's a Dell (which bought Alienware a few years back) with a fancy case.
Don't quote me out of context. I know alienware are bad, I already said they're overpriced and that I'd rather get a desktop, such as the one I built myself last week.
