I am in need for a new gaming mouse, I would like to know a good brand or type of mouse to get. I have seen the R.A.T 9 mouse, but I have no idea where to get retail. My price range is $100-200 ( I want a very good mouse that will last me) any of you guys/lady's know of any?

The Razer DeathAdder V2. It molds into your hand, it's a good price, it feels smooth and the cursor speed is hugely customizable.

EDIT: If you're okay with buying online, here's a great Australian website:

http://pccasegear.com/

And here's my recommendation: http://pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=12867

Hope that helped.

While the RAT 9 is probably the sexiest mouse I've ever seen... you can pick up a Razer DeathAdder for half the price, although it is corded. And a Razer Mamba for about 150 but that is still a 5.6k dpi feature rich gaming mouse. I've had a death adder for quite some time, and its pretty nice, some of the plastic looks cheap but the performance is nice and it feels solid in your hand.

I'd advise against a logitec wireless mouse though, while the mice themselves are nice quality... the usb adapters are really bad quality and tend to break if something knocks up against them.

There some good ones, Google them and check 'em out.
The Steelseries Xai and the Logitech G9X are very similar, I have seen the R.A.T 7 but I would prefer the wireless model, the R.A.T 9. The Roccat Kone+ mouse looks pretty awesome aswell, I doubt I can get it retail though. Thanks!

I have seen this in store, thanks for the info. How customizable is it?

I've got a Razer Lachesis, It's pretty good but It seems a little bit screwey at times, from what I know the Mamba is better although it costs a bit more.

At the moment i´m using the logitech mx518! it´s a very good gaming mouse which satisfy all my gaming needs. Might not be the sharpest one with only the 1.6k dpi but it does the job!

Very. You can alter the speed from 'a snail's pace' to 'lightning quick' with ease.

You can adjust the sensitivity but thats about it as far as I can tell. I've had one for 6 months and all I can tell is that the mouse itself is not adjustable.

Depending on preference for mouse form, either the Razer Deathadder or the similar but more rounded and compact Razer Imperator would be valid choices at a reasonable price.

They're both wired though, and at 200 $ there might well be better offerings (though how much better I can't say, aside from wireless I'm guessing pretty marginal).

Not really seeing how they are similar.

I am from Australia and from the picture that I saw of the G9 was the side. Anyway the G9 might be just what I wanted, even though I want the R.A.T 9.

If you really want a R.A.T. 9 (and believe me, after seeing it I WANT ONE) then get one.

I did that when I got a logitec mx9 (or whatever it was) about a year ago, I wanted the razer mouse but didn't think it was worth the extra 20 bucks. I WAS WRONG. I kicked myself 5 months later when the little USB thing broke, and again when THE REPLACEMENT ALSO BROKE >:[

Don't settle for what will do, get what you really want or you will kick yourself. No amount of flash and flare will make up for the genuine article.

Same here. I've got the MX518 and the DeathAdder V2. The DeathAdder seems better for snap shooting and it's smoother (physically and on screen), but the MX518 is damn comfortable I have to say. It feels like it's been made for my hand.
