I've never beaten any video game. Ever. I usually get to a section that frustrates me to the point that I quit, or I can't beat the final boss, or I just forget about the game because I have video game ADD and can't play any one game for more than 2 weeks at a time.

EDIT: The closest I've come to beating a video game is defeating the Johto Elite Four in Pokemon Soul Silver.

What are some the things you're ashamed of doing or ashamed of not doing in gaming?

Mine is having never played a single Half-Life game. *prepares for an inferno*
I keep seeing sweet deals for Orange Box, but I've already got TF2 and Portal and part of me thinks "naw, I'd be getting ripped off :("

Despite RPGs being my favorite genre the last Bioware game I completed was NWN. I finally got around to Mass Effect a few months ago but it's buggy as hell on my system and I haven't been able to finish it . . . and I can't make myself move on to ME2 without finishing it. Worse, I really enjoy it despite having to play with the graphics severely minimized and it crashing every hour.

I own Dragon Age Origins, I got it during the Holiday Steam sale, but I haven't gotten around to it yet.

The Half Life series is well made but incredibly linear, even for an FPS. It's rare to ever encounter a situation that you can tackle from multiple angles. Half Life 2 was a bit better in this regard, at least figuratively, but it was even more on the rails than the first one.

If you can pick up Half Life 2 and the Episodes they're worth playing (the Episodes especially). A friend gave me Half Life 2 last fall and I was able to get the Episodes for a few bucks each during the holiday sale.

I dont even like Gordan.
What could you POSSIBLY have against Gordon?!

He's the 37th Defender of Earth! He has the spirit of a true DoE!

U mad, Valve fans?

For me one of the greates sins possible can only be committed by companies: Console FPS games without splitscreen multiplayer.

Having spent more than an hour in RPG puzzles
Trying to ''catch'' them all
And, ironically, having beaten only 30% of the game that I have played

1. Playing way too much Restaraunt Story and Zoo Story on my mobile.
2. Worrying too much about how my characters look and not enough on actual game mechanics.
3. Spending way too much time decorating my house in any game I'm allowed to.
4. Not making it to max-level in most MMOs because I'm too busy with the economic system, wasting all my time in the auctionhouse / bazaar.

Restarting a race in any racing game if I don't come in first. All the fucking time, I simply cannot come in second or it is a failure.

When I get frustrated in an online FPS, I tend to resort to cheaper, low-skill tactics, shotgun rushing and grenade spamming. I hate that it feels so good.

I play C.O.D. games for the single player campaign only, I never, ever go online with any of them.
Same except I go online to piss people off, although it usually backfires

I have the same thing, but even worse, if i crash out and i'm not in first at the end of the first lap, i'll restart the race. This got to be a problem sometimes in Burnout Revenge when it'd take me a while to get past the first lap.

Thinking the story of Halo 1-3 is actually pretty good.
I'd like someone to tell me how the story of Halo 1-3 was bad.
Well, that's easy. All you have to do is say something like "It's just some douche in a suit fighting aliens!"

Never mind the fact that you could describe the Half Life series the exact same way.

At least Halo has some fucking diverse environments.[/bitter muttering]
Halo fans FTW!
OT: never played the orginal LoZ, super mario, or metroid.

I have a terrible habit of losing interest in games about midway through. By the time I feel like playing again, I feel like I should start over so I remember everything that's happened.

i never finish sandbox games

btw is it because of portal 2 or why does everybody and their companion cube confess their hate/dislike/non-interest for the half-life series?

I still think Pokemon: Gold is the best pokemon game ever created.
Hah, I'd totally agree with yo-- Wait, gold? SURELY you mean SILVER! Hahaha, no, but I did like that series of Pokémon over any of the others.
