Ashamed? Nothing...maybe enjoying Harvest Moon a little to much.
Ashamed? there is no need to be ashamed! We who enjoy harvest moon must hold our heads up high in pride.
On second thought, perhaps it's more of a guilty pleasure

-I'm terrible with scary games. For example, I never finish F.E.A.R 2 out of shear terror.

- I hate the Half-Life series. I've played 1, 2 and episode 1 and I can't bring myself to play episode 2 because I thought the others were terrible.

That's all I have, do I go to Gaming Heaven?

I am a compulsive saver. By the time I finished my first play through of Dragon Age 2, it said that I had saved the game.....over 1600 times.

Right now I've been doing my first play through of Mass Effect, it isn't as bad as DA2 because I am around three-fourths of the way through and I only have a little over 800 saves.
How do you get so many saves? Do you save after every conversation, enemy killed and corridor walked down? I'm just wondering because i have a friend that seems to have hundreds of saves on those games.

I go through Mass Effect with about 5 saves. Of course, that does leave me cursing when i die on Noveria right before the boss and then i have to do the Mako section again...
I save if I think there will be some kind of encounter, conversation or otherwise, and I also save after every encounter. I also save if I find some really good items, since the items you get from things are random and if I have to go back because I forgot to save, I might not get that item again.

I don't see how you could go through Mass Effect on 5 saves, unless you are playing in 10+ hour stretches, only if you are saving after each stretch.

In my first play through so far, I am at almost 50 hours played. Take into consideration and I talk to every single person and do every single mission no matter how small. Also, when I am driving the Mako on planets, I drive over every inch of them several times to see if I found all the resources.

The most I play in a sitting is from 2 to 3 hours, in the beginning when I first started playing, for the fist three nights I played for 7 hours each night.

I have never played Half-Life, I only tell people I do to look cool.
I have never played Mass Effect, I only tell people I do to look cool.
I play most of my games on Medium (sometimes Easy) difficulty, but I'd never admit it in person. That's not cool.
I own a Wii, I only tell people I own a PS3 to look cool.
I'd never pay more than $20 for a game, unless it's cool.
I once had a chance to buy BG&E for $10, I did not. At the time it was not cool
God damn I wish I was that cool. I'm not even cool enough for italics D:

But yeah, most of these, except I have an Xbox, I do buy relatively expensive games, and I have played mass effect.

Well, I tried playing Half-Life 2 but couldn't really get into it. I didn't like Metal Gear Solid (I can't remember which one I tried). I've never played Portal, and the only Final Fantasy game I've ever played was FFX-2 and I didn't even finish it.
I play C.O.D. games for the single player campaign only, I never, ever go online with any of them. And finally, I really didn't care fore the Nazi Zombie part of W.A.W.
Word for word XD

What are some the things you're ashamed of doing or ashamed of not doing in gaming?

Mine is having never played a single Half-Life game. *prepares for an inferno*
Dont worry, I havent really either. I dont even like Gordan.

OT: Its something I make sure I never do, but going into a battle with half a clip of ammo.
How can you "Not like Gordon Freeman if your have never played a Half-life game? He only exists there and as a silent hero is only seen through his actions, which you haven't seen?!? This isnt a flame I just wonder....its wierd, do you not like valve? or read a web comic and thought Freeman was a dick or something? How did you come to this dislike?

I got 44 hours into Dragon Age Origins and decided that I was piss bored and frustrated with the lack of variety in character gear. I was also frustrated that I was given the shit end of the stick because I wanted to play a mage; I simply did not like the combat system in DA:O and I got tired of having to play every character in the group but mine just to survive fights.

For some reason I feel kinda bad that I didn't enjoy the game; I liked the story but the gameplay was just awful in my opinion. I understand that it's complex just for the sake of being complex but I fail to see how that makes for a good game.

So yeah, between my friends and the rest of the gaming community I feel bad for disliking it.

I have nothing against Valve or gabe. Well, I dont like Steam, but thats not why I dont like Gordan. All I ever here is Gordan is a great and deep character, and he's not. He's a blank slate, so if you took him alone, he'd be the more boring and uninteresting character in gaming. He's a piece of paper, with nothing written on it, and I dont care for characters like that. If you're going to do that, you may as well let the player build the character in their image, since you're clearly making the player play the lead character in their actions.

Ok, so you don't like blank slate characters. Got it.

Btw he is more then just blank slate. Theres a lot of backround and story in HL, its just there organicly through gameplay. For example in HL you have to go through a locker room and theres the locker with your name, open it and see a picture of family, diploma, etc. Totally unneccessary but there.

Hes definatly less a blank slate then the 90% Wrpgs.

In a game with armor I go for what looks the best and not the best stats-wise. Even if I am getting my butt kicked because of wearing crap armor I don't take it off. Case on point: Roving Trader outfit in Fallout 3 and New Vegas.

I often start a Wrpg trying to make a character and stick to it. Like, an idealistic person who trys to do the right thing no matter what, but I fail as soon as I see something nice and shiny that I can steal.

I can't roleplay without breaking immersion and acting like its a game.

I always reload even if I only shot one bullet, its gotten be killed quite a few times but I just can't help it. My best mate is horrible at reloading and always seems to go into a fight with about 5 bullets left in his clip, and me being a constant reloader I sit behind him grinding my teeth resisting the urge to yell "RELOAD YOUR FUCKING GUN!" It kills me...
