Probably all the NES titles that were so damn hard. You become too much frustrated that you forget all the little things that keeps you from dying.

I think you'll mostly get FPS players responding though - especially in reflex-based shooters like the MW games, you're in a state of high alert, mentally speaking, for a very long time, and the human brain simply can't cope with that - slower reflexes and less observation would be expected after 15-30 minutes.

Pro-tip: Hide for the first couple of games, and pay very little attention to what's going on. As everyone else's reflexes die down, start picking off your now inattentive opponents. I assume this would work if you had the same people in a party for long periods of time.

Eh, not really the same thing, but changing weapon types in MW2 fucks me up quite a bit. I have a bad habit of reloading my gun after EVERY kill, and this gets me killed so frequently it's absurd. However, when I do this with an SMG, It's usually no big deal, but when I do this with a LMG, I may as well just respawn then and there.

Counterstrike, it just stands out from the crowd with its game mechanic of aiming being more important than reactions. The upshot of that is that if you leave the game for a while then come back your muscle memory will tide you over for a few games but they you will get worse as you start to get into it again, then you have to basically re-learn how to play.

I start off crap, get better, and then start doing crap again.

With Rhythm games my skill is usually determined by how dead my hand is.

Do what I do is drink 1000mg of caffeine. Your reactions won't drop for a good 2-3 hours.

My best example was Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare on the Xbox 360.

One night I had decided to see what all the rage was about with this game. And so I decided to give it a try using my brother's Xbox LIVE account which I had paid for a years subscription to.

Those few hours were the best moments of playing that game ever. Every Free-for-all or Team Deathmatch I was in I came top every time, and this was just with the default classes. Got tired and decided to play it the next day.

Big mistake.

For no reason whatsoever I was being dominated in every match. Only by bare luck did I manage to get 3rd place sometimes. It was not fun believe you me. Damn beginner's luck.

It happened now with Call of Duty 4.
I was rulling at the beggining of the match but 5 minutes later the fail begun. I was all warmed up from America's Army 3, and CoD looked easy.

On my current Evil run through of Kingdom Hearts (basic weapons, no accessories, no offensive abilities) I keep turning into a moron and just rushing into battle like I do on a normal game.
This means that I am stuck being killed by normal enemies.

If I play a Fire Emblem on hard for too long, I start failing because I start thinking WAY too hard about every move and become unwilling to take ANY risks, slight as they may be. And when I finally DO make a move, a unit usually ends up dying because I overlooked something stupidly, face-palmingly basic.

It's probably your body telling you 'Oh god stop it I can't take the strain anymore!'
The longer you play something without a break, the more tired you get and you start to make stupid decisions.
Well, for me anyway.
