I'm so confused.... are you guy brothers or something?
Aye, he's my little brother.

He's in the same house as me.

I too am confused, if in the same house why talk over a forum, why not just talk to each other?
That would involve actual contact with actual other people. We're gamers and nerds damn it!

Aha.

I just saw Elvis on the telly and all I could think of of Sebastian Haff with pie on his face.
In fact, we are so close, I could murder him.

Do you want that? You can have a interesting Rep.
Funny enough, I'm sitting here with my little brother too.

Group hug!

Xbox 360 red ringed and my brother hogs the PC to play WoW. Needless to say I spent a week unable to play any video games.

My 8800 GT fried, stuck with an old 6600 that I salvaged from an old comp. Can't play most of my games even on low :(

My 360 broke, so I asked Microsoft to repair it, but before I sent it off I canceled the repair by accident (dont ask). And now, It won't let me click on the request repair button! I can't get it repaired!

Even when I somehow figure out how to request a repair again, ill have to go two weeks without my xbox, and I havent played Bioshock 2, Left 4 Dead 2 or Mass Effect 2. They are all sitting on my shelf taunting me!

Possibly the time I got a really nasty virus that convinced my computer that windows explorer was a virus, and tried to destroy (not wipe, destroy) the hard drive.

I had to reinstall everything. How big is WoW now? 25GB? That took a while.

Didn't have a PC until I was about 9 or 10 years old. Even then, I didn't play games on it much because I had this old NES I played on.

I'd say the tragedy was when I got the N64 for Christmas but Mom and Dad got rid of the NES, assuming it was obsolete and, therefore, not worth playing. As a kid, I didn't really care. At the age I am now, I wish that wasn't the case for a few reasons. One, the gamecube came out maybe a year and a half later. Two, the NES had some good games and buying games for it doesn't cost too much. Three, I'm nostalgic, simply as that. :)

Oh, my whole gamer life is a tragedy. I'm having to plan and build a new desktop in secret because my dad is such a games hater. He picks everything to hate: calling it a waste of time, MW2 airport, (unproven) links to violence, heck he hates violence in games and movies completely.

I think the critical trigger of it all was when my mum got an unhealthy addiction to Tetris, and that just scared my parents shitless about everything about games.

For my old N64 (which has always been a cherished item) dying. That was bad. I plugged it in then something said goodbye and it started smoking and caught fire. I put it out but it didn't work again. Then I replaced it...years later.

I can recall trying to play KOTOR on my original xbox. It constantly froze and so in order to play I had to autosave every 2 minutes just in case. Same with Fable and Splinter Cell Chaos Theory. I ended up getting it fixed but for that short while I was eyeing it with a sledgehammer, ready to break it the next time it decided to forsake me.

Being proud of that is like being proud of being the first ever infected of the zombie apocalypse.
