Gaming's best sorcerer

Gaming has seen many people able to use magic. Some have enough power to destroy entire cities at the utterance of a single word, while others can raise people from the depths of Hell itself. Who is gaming's best sorcerer? And to clarify, I mean any user of magic: wizards, enchanters and the like all count as well.

My vote goes to Gannondorf from the Legend of Zelda series. Yes, he is a sorcerer. He was (to my knowledge) the first real sorcerer in gaming history, and is still one of the most menacing. His trademark spell is turning himself into his beast-form, Gannon. That thing is one of the most menacing monstrocities to ever grace a Nintendo game, especially the Twilight Princess version.

Yuna and Lulu from FFX.

But that's just my opinion.

Rinoa from FF8, the back-story of a sorcerer in that world (annoyingly) makes her more powerful than the character you can use. Also she was doing some crazy stuff in Dead Fantasy 2.

As for a full ability usable character, I'd probably go with Yuna, those Aeons are incredibly powerful (eventually)

Yeah, Ganon probably has my vote.

Xemnas from KHII however is really interesting. While I'm unsure that he's a sorcerer per se, he's menacing, magical, and everything that a sorcerous villain should be. He uses various spells and energy attacks in lieu of conventional weapons, and is damn good at what he does.

Then there's Mannimarco of Daggerfall and Oblivion. In Daggerfall he was a nay omnipotent god-necromancer thing, and in Oblivion a manifestation of Mannimarco appears to antagonize the Mage's Guild. In both appearances he fits the bill quite nicely and is up there in my votes.

The Lich King Arathas of the World of Warcraft universe gets an honorable mention here because he's technically half sorcerer (And that half's class was shaman, go figure).

Gotta go with Shang Tsung from Mortal Kombat. The dude's a powerful enough sorcerer in his own right, but he's also go the power of every other Mortal Kombatant on his side.

If you consider the Force to be 'sorcery' as some here unnamed Imperial admirals, then Starkiller. Seriously, Starkiller.

Gotta go with Aladdin's own Jafar. I mean, he turns into a snake at a pun, of all things. If that doesn't say "all-powerful sorcerer", I don't know what does.

He's not really a sorcerer, more of a god, but my pick would be Sheogorath from Oblivion. He's just so damn crazy!
