Thanks to the wonder of ESP, I know present you with the thoughts behind the post (shown in bold). Ever wondered what your verbal jousting opponent is really thinking? Now you can, with ESP.Darkblazer said:He is only successful because he's being chased by fanboys
I don't like him, clearly everyone else is wrong
Mario, Samus and Link, their prime was years ago
Prime Trilogy was released last year and so unintentionally I will make a humorous remark regarding videogame characters being in their prime. Also my opinion trumps all.
I know, after we have Link run around with a talking boat, and a fucking train
Let's have him ride a schizophrenic washing machine...
Change scares me. Also a schizophrenic washing machine raped my dog thus explaining my prejudice towards them.
Only decent LoZ games were on N64 (And I got into the gameboy games a little to be fair)
Mario's prime was back on the NES
Samus - More or less likewise
Things were better in my day, the trees were greener, the internet was faster... We had to trudge 15 miles in the snow, but it was okay cuz a mile wasn't as long as it is nowadays.
Super Smash Brothers is not a viable argument in this...
Smash Bros! My only weakness gargh!
Edit: Oh, and you implied that jumping from nintendo to handheld consoles was a big deal, even though every Nintendo game has about 8 remakes on the DS because they need to make as much use of the touch screen as possible
I know he was simply stating that Zelda games have been featured on a large number of consoles, but it reduces his credibility if I make it sound like his claims are sensationalist.
For the record, Mario, being more recognisable than Link (in that numerous people probably think his name is Zelda due to the games' titles... Lord knows I used to) would be my pick. He's just simply Iconic, the same with Sonic. Regardless of his apparent lapse in quality, when people think videogames, they'll frequently think Sonic or Mario.
Master Chief would work, but he seems too generic to me. Not in regards to personality or anything, more just the fact that wearing a uniform (armour) means that to most people he doesn't really stand apart from the other characters that where the same or similar armour.
On the other hand, a plumber in a land of mushrooms and a blue hedgehog tend to stand out.
