I think Prototype has some of the most brutal achievements I've ever personally encountered. Complete the entire game without dying? Even on easy that seems like a tall order.
I did that first try actually. On Normal. I could call it a fluke to say the least. The orb ones though and the minigame ones are annoying though.
okay...i found a map qith all the locations of the WOI Nodes, all the Orbs...everything..i found all the WOI thanks to that...and found all but one....damn....orb....i went over the map...i found all 50....but it was saying i was missing 1...i was so pissed off that i actually said "fuck this" and sold the game...i wanted that damn orb..and i got cheated out of it..keep in mind i currently have over 30,000 gamerscore in almost 2 years ((x-mas it will be 2 years))

I found ALL the flags.

All of them.
All of them?

I play the game and try for the achievements, I might replay it for a few, but I don't go craaazy and stress out overly about an achievement.

I achievement hunt all the time. I like getting them. I get this little feeling of "achievement" believe it or not, and satisfaction.

Oh, I had that... all 1000G. Then I turned off the game right after I killed Robert de Sable. It saved, I turned it off. Then I had lunch and played the game again. Wait... why am I back at the beginning of this fight. *sighs* Fine. So I do it again. Wait... where are the enemies? Wait... where's Robert? Wait... what the hell's going on? F*cking save game. The one save system should never have existed outside of RPGs because of cock-ups like this. I swore I'd never touch Assassin's Creed again. Then my Xbox died and, with no connection to Live, my gamer profile died with it. Now I'm trying to suppress the urge to play Creed again, despite all the many, many things I hate about it.

In another related note, Mile High Club in Call of Duty 4. I had that too. Now it's the only one I DON'T have. *grumbles*

I have 12 left to find. Over all of the different flag types put together. And I don't know which ones I have so I can't use a map. 99/100 Kingdom flags, and an entire Kingdom to hunt it down in...

Congrats to you, I must say.

I currently have about 42/50 on AC2 as well, although a fun glitch has prevented me from getting one of the achievements without an entire re-play..

1000/1000 on Oblivion (I haven't got the DLC).

And I was slightly upset when I found out there isn't an achievement on Mirror's Edge for being able to beat down every Pursuit Cop in the game on the first run through. No guns. Seriously, those guys are nasty.

Buying all of Fallout 3's DLC to get 1550/1550. £30 + £35, for that.

I like achievements when they're interesting. "Destroy 50 cars" is a bit boring, but PGR4's puzzle achievements are a perfect example of fun. 3CZV657!

I will try for achievements in video games because it's fun and makes use of some in-game features that I would've never used. However, if there are some really annoying achievements like Crackdown with the 1000 agility orbs or Assassin's Creed with the impossible-to-find flags, then count me out. Otherwise, I don't really mind them.

Plus, with the new Avatar Awards feature I guess getting achievements has more of value to it now.
