In the realm of hand tools (so, no motorized transport or projectile weapons)... probably either
or the obvious choice

Bill hook, spud bar, shovel, shears, pretty much anything heavy or sharp. Also, I've been hit in the head with the flat side of a shovel, and it out me flat on my back, and bled like a *****. It was an accident, so I can only imagine what it would be like to have somebody come after you with one.

Hand rakes are pretty cool. Imagine just swinging one of those to the face of your enemy. I've also got this mini hedgesaw thing, but it's AC powered, so not that effective as a weapon.

And the obvious choice

and of course

And of course, a knight needs a mighty steed

And there you go. Combined with some safety equiqment, you are a true knight in shining hard plastic armour

Skip to 1:39 if you don't want to see what a gunship can do to a rebel camp.

Also: the pruning saw. It's a straight or concave saw with 3x5mm teeth with razor edges. It will cheerfully slice through your thumb, including the nail, if you make a mistake. It does a beautiful job of cutting ash trees down, cutting branches off them, cutting the stumps level or whatever else you need along those lines and will tear hell out of your doorframes if you're not careful with it. It's available hand-held or mounted on a loooooong pole [http://www.silkyfox.co.uk/] for those harder-to-reach branches.

I've got a kindling axe. I've got a club hammer. I've got a claw hammer (for carpentry, not agriculture or gardening, really) and chisels (for carpentry again) and trowels and a spade and a shovel and some bamboo canes and secateurs and a watering can and some buckets, too. The spade and the axe have things going for them and the axe and hammer are both good anti-skeleton weapons (just use the axe backwards) but the pruning saw is the one I'd most want to have in my hand if I had to take one with me to meet an intruder. You have to swing a hammer or axe, after all, and a spade needs both hands.

I always thought "Grass Whips" looked pretty dangerous, but I don't currently own one. I'd be more likely to grab my 24" machete, large axe, a spade or 20 lb sledge from my barn if it really came down to it.
