I am a huuuuge fan of Garth Nix and I have read all of his books, bar the ones designed for babies/toddlers/younger then...7? Anyway.
I was just wondering if there were any other fans of his roaming around the Escapist and, if so:
what's your favourite book of his?
What's your favourite part of a book?
Are you psyched about the potential for Sabriel to become a film?
Out of the stories, would you make any of them a game?
Personally, I think Sabriel is my favourite (cos it's the first one I read), closely followed by Sir Thursday then The Ragwitch.
My favourite part of the books would have to be in Sabriel when Touchstone and Sabriel are running away from their first encounter with Kerigor (sorry if this is in some way a spoiler, but I don't know how to do the spoiler tab things...or much else on this site :/).
I am personally very excited about the Sabriel film, but abit behind so I don't know if it's been cancelled or not...
And I think that it'd be good to turn Sabriel, Lireal and Abhorsen into games, but would be difficult...may be better to explore histories of charecters or not have the main charecters of the books the main charecters of the games.
Edit: If you've never heard of him, he's a fantasy fiction writer who is more of a teenage literature writer, but does appeal to a wide audience e.g. someone I know is a massive Steven king fan (owns all the books) but still enjoyed his books. I'd recommend looking him up.
