Gears of War 2 not coming to PC

In an IGN interview with Cliff Bleszinski, it was revealed by Cliff that Gears of War 2 would not be coming to the PC. The point of interest came up in a question about Gears 2's "Linked Achievements" and the Achievement portability with an account from Games for Windows Live.
When prompted about a PC version of Gears 2, Cliff spilled the beans: "Gears of War is a great franchise first and foremost for Xbox 360, and therefore we're focusing on that platform for Gears of War 2. We've decided we're not going to do a PC version this time around."

All I can say is: FUCK! Fuck Cliff Fuck-mothering Bleszinski and all his fucking cohorts.

PLEASE NOTE: All of my animosity towards these people can be solved nearly instantaneously by porting GOW2 to the Pc.

Well, I vastly prefer to play it with a controller anyway,
but I feel bad for those looking forward to it, and end up being not able to play.

I'm sure they will port it later though, to squeeze some more sales out of it.

So guess what, Gears of War 2 will come to PC, just like Gears of War 1 came to PC after being "On the Xbox 360 exclusively".

But Cliff only said "We've decided we're not going to do a PC version this time around." so either he misworded, or eventually it will come to PC (with more content and better controlls no less). I have my money on a port soon after, maybe 6months to a year after release.

Its no big deal for me if it doesn't come to the PC though, I really liked the original but I haven't got myself hyped about GOW2 so it isn't a big loss.

The only thing I got out of playing Gears of Browr 1 on the PC was a sadness that it took up so much space on one of my hard drives :[

It'll come out on the PC, just give it time. Generally, most shooters are much better and a whole lot more intuitive using a mouse and keyboard.

Plus they're bypassing a massive market, there's too much money to miss out on by not porting it to the PC.
I just remembered another thing - I'm sure I heard someone from a game development company say that you'd be mad to make a game for the PC and not port it to the 360... So why not the other way around?

Yeah, Gears of War was a great game - If you played Gears 1 how can you NOT be excited for Gears 2, which is going to be much better. Its fine to have your opinion and all, but theres no point insulting an obviously great game. (not only did it sell like wilfire, but also won a few golden joystick awards, and was rated highly by almost every games reviewer.)

As for insulting the game - no doubt he/she is simply annoyoed its not being ported to the PC. Why post here if all yuor going to do is insult a game because its not on the platform you want...EPIC never announced a PC port - though I guess 1 year after its release it may get one. Who knows.

Because gears of war is a mediocre shooter because, I played it(And I have played A LOT of other shooters.)and theirs not many redeeming qualities. The games bugged to hell, gibing...whoops 'Dismemberment' is not new to shooters. Chainsaw on the gun? Explosive bow? IS that really all the development team could think of to make the game fun?(Hammer of Dawn is not counted cause its basically artillery.(Even the bow that shoots explosive arrows I think has been in another game.)

The graphics suck and to make up for that the game is showered in shades of black so you can't see shit if it was dangling from a pole in front of you and you are about to walk straight into it.

Bigger and Better? 100 DUDES ON SCREEN MAN! - Those guys need to shut up, No point and time in a game like that will there be 100 dudes directly fighting you, They will be running around doing stupid things will you fight 3-5 people.

Don't ever take the critics score as a dictator of the quality of the game. PS3 games are bashed until they are crying, Wii has devilwear, And the fact that the graphics look like shit on it but people are still talking about it looking good.(Artistic graphics are the only thing allowed on this, And of course graphics that look like ram's piss.) And well the 360 is like the popular kid, He knows everybody thats not different(I.E he doesn't care about anyone thats not like him.) and well hes a dick but everybody still loves him.

(The only redeeming games for the xbox for me is fable, And KOTOR.)

Bungi said the same thing about Halo 2. I expect this to be no different, it WILL come to the PC eventually, to do so would be a bad marketing strategy, especially due to the fact they have the first one on PC, why not freaking continue.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a PC version at some point in the future. The first game was heralded as an X Box 360 exclusive only for a PC version to follow.
