Eh? Are you talking about Gears of War? It wasn't cookie cutter FPS (aside from not being FPS at all, of course) and did bring ingenuity; it had a good, arcadey-feel cover system without needing GRAW-style sticking to walls; it had jams on reloads; the best co-op shooter to date; and some fantastic camera work to boot.
You don't ahve to like it - lots of people don't - but for heavens sake don't say something so daft as "it's cookie cutter FPS". That's just wrong.
