Gears of War 3: Did it move you?

Yes it did. Came in expecting, as someone said, a hoorah shoot em' up, and got that for the most part. The game also had a surprisingly sentimental touch to it that really grabbed me, especially at certain points. I came a skeptic(I didn't play Gears or Gears 2, but I'll probably go back and do so now) and was pleasantly surprised

Just like in 2 none of the storyline really came close to moving me.

That said, this game is great. They really nailed the multiplayer balance, got the matchmaking working perfectly, and the storyline actually has pacing.

Did I mention the multiplayer is great?

Now Gears of War is far from Shakespearian tragedy but the latest instalment genuinely grabbed me at certain moments and I can appreciate what they?re going for here.

I wanted to know the Escapist?s opinion on those who had played the game through.

I still havent played the game to finish it, but no, not really i lost my interest in GoW 2 midway because lame representations of a human beign, yet i like the game because it 2p splitscreen, nothing else, and i buyed it because its a games closure, if it were announced to 4 or 5 games i wouldn't even bothered.

LOVE covering system sometimes

no like the game overall
no like the characters personas, specially the "girl"
no like the "marines vs roaches" all over again
no like the laggy texture loading if not installed on the hdd

HATE ally AI
HATE Cover system sometimes
HATE 60$ for an expansion pack more than a new game, AGAIN.
HATE is online so far
